Relaxation.
We have stayed here several times. It is PERFECT for anyone. We always have "Camp YaYa and PaPa" for our grandchildren. They requested to go back here this summer. They stay in the water 75% of the time. I had messaged Bill, the owner and asked if he would make sure there were 3 rafts for the children. Without hesitation, he said they would be there. And they were. He is so wonderful to communicate with. We were able to sit on the back deck and watch the kids enjoy rafting. My husband even got some fishing in as well. It is a wonderful home, with everything anyone could ever need. I highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone. We will return again. Thanks you for sharing your home. Julie Collins

A Wonderful Get Away!!
This cabin is awesome! We loved the river and the hot tub! It was very clean and new. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. No problem at all with the Wi-Fi - no complaints even from our teenager! We had no issues getting there- the house address came up on google maps just fine. We even got groceries delivered from the Walmart in Boone. The road is really curvy, but very scenic - a lovely drive. It is quite a ways to both Boone and Blowing Rock, but doable. It didn’t really affect us since we just stayed there most of the time - it was so relaxing and beautiful!

Piece of Heaven
Wow! What an amazing cabin. The pictures online do not do it justice compared to seeing it for yourself. This weekend was to celebrate a quiet relaxing weekend away for my husband’s 62nd birthday. We usually stay in the town of Blowing Rock several times a year, but since we had just been there for a week in June I decided to look for something a little more remote. Honestly, the cabin looked beautiful online but it was the reviews that sold me, and I read every single one! The minute we walked in to the cabin we were in awe of the decor and the new smell of a clean cabin. Walking out onto the large deck was heavenly. We were greeted by hummingbirds and butterflies. Our two pups immediately layered down to soak up the sun after a two hour car ride. I made a wonderful steak dinner and we enjoyed the rest of the evening with cocktails in the hot tub. The sky was full of stars and we enjoyed watching the lightning bugs in the backyard. Everyone that knows me knows that if I could take my bed with me wherever I go, I would! The beds and pillows were super comfortable! Listening to the bubbling creek in the background was just an added bonus. Each day was a wonderful experience to coffee in the high chairs to playing scrabble on the picnic table. We tried our luck with the fly rods every afternoon with no luck but enjoyed walking through the stream and collecting rocks. This cabin offers everything a city girl wants to get away.Peace. We will be back!!!!!

Peaceful Getaway
My husband, daughter, and I are locals to the area and were looking for a low maintenance getaway for the weekend. We were so happy with the cabin and its surroundings. We brought tubes to float on the creek and loved exploring the property. The house was very clean and well stocked with cooking, laundry, and cleaning supplies. We have already talked about coming back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Remote Playground
We loved our stay. Getting there was the only challenge. The address is not mapped so an address to a property down the street is provided and you’re told to look for their street on approach. Not that easy… First, you better subscribe to a Starlink plan or print out the directions because about 30 minutes outside the property, you’ll lose satellite communication and will be navigating primitively. Also, watch out for the local drivers and for Christs sake, drive well below the speed limit so you don’t die. Locals drive like Earnhardt on the main road leading to the house which is treacherous. Vertical drop-offs 6” from the lip and zero guardrail. It’s insanity and I’m a Floridian. You’ll also need to plan to stop at a grocery store well before you get there (especially if you have kids) because there is NOTHING within a 30-minute drive and, aside from cleaning supplies, you won’t find so much as a coffee grain. Every other street/house is conveniently called “trout” something or other so don’t get confused. Once you’re there and brush the near death off your skin it’s a beautiful spot. Clean, peaceful, remote. The stream was everything and my husband, two little boys, and myself will remember it forever. PS-The earthworms under the outside trash cans are awesome bait!

Perfect Blue Ridge Mountain Getaway
Absolutely loved the cabin and location. Everything you see in the pictures is exactly what you are getting and more once you are there. This cabin is minutes away from jumping onto the Blue Ridge Parkway, small towns like Boone and Jefferson. Directions provided in the check in email are on point. Cabin itself is very clean and well kept. Very dog friendly which was very important to us. If bringing dog, keep in mind that there is no gate on the wrap around porch, which we knew ahead of time by the pictures. Highly recommend bringing a baby gate or something to block off if your pups like to run, ours loved running down to the creek! Beds and pillows were comfortable. Ceiling fans in all the rooms. Bathrooms well stocked. Kitchen had all appliances and utensils. There was some leftover firewood which was nice. Hot tub was AMAZING! People in other reviews commented on the internet but honestly it was fine for sending messages through Facebook and iPhone messaging. It’s just slower and YouTube quality may not be the highest. You really don’t need it to have a good time down there! Only thing I would say that we wished we prepared for was bug spray and planning out our meals better. Bug spray because your near the creek and in the outdoors. Better meal planning because once we were at the cabin, we didn’t want to leave and just enjoyed being in the peace and quiet so much 😊

Relaxing country stay
Quick weekend trip. The place is relaxing, comfy furniture, easy access into the creek. House is fully stocked, cooking spices and all. No cell service and the internet is spotty, so be prepared to be unplugged. Stop for groceries on the way in since the store is 30 minutes away. No luck with fishing this go around, but my 3 year old loved his first ever fishing trip nonetheless. The fly shop in town told us Elk Creek is tough this time of year. Better luck to yall!

Restful stay
We stayed at the cabin for 4 week nights. It was exceptionally well equipped - someone really thought it through. It isn’t clear from the ad that there are three other cabins on the property, but they are far away and we mostly felt alone. The one drawback is the proximity to a gravel road. Traffic wasn’t heavy - maybe 25 cars per day - but each one threw up a plume of dust that hung in the air for a while and drifted to the cabin. Even so, we turned off the A/C and opened the windows away from the road for our fresh air. There was no dust inside the cabin. We will likely stay here again.

Beautiful location and off the beaten path. Take whatever you want to eat for the stay, cabin has well stocked kitchen. Fishing was so so for the first few days, then it was stocked the last day which improved the fishing. We were catch and released so there should be some for the next guy. Would go back

Loved the cabin and was a wonderful dog friendly property It was a newer cabin…clean, well stocked, and had a very nice hot tub! The only potential downside for some that like to stay connected is ultra slow to no internet service! However, we enjoyed a break from city life and would highly recommend it!!!

Fly Fishing Trip
Arrived at 5:30 PM on a Thursday evening to an extremely well maintained and clean cabin with everything needed. The setting of the cabin is picturesque. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck that is just feet away from the Elk Creek. We saw turkey glide down from their evening roost and deer coming down from the woods for a drink. A pair of geese came in, swam in the creek, and then just hung around the cabin for the day. Fishing was productive. In total, we caught 10; five, just to the left of the cabin. There are no negatives with this property, in my opinion. Stop by the store before you make your way to the cabin. Once there, take the lid off the hot tub and get in and relax from your travels. Enjoy. We all did.

Relaxation
My husband and I were looking for some time away from our very busy schedules to get some rest and relaxation and we sure found it at the trout house. The house was secluded away from town and very peaceful. It was clean and comfortable. We had access to supplies that most owners keep locked up which came in handy. The bed was comfortable and the hot tub was clean. We will definitely stay here again.

Great cabin off the beaten path. We enjoyed everything from the cleanliness, fireplace, hot tub, outdoor firepit and of course the stream running right next to the cabin. It is a bit of a hike to get to from Blowing Rock and definitely recommend having SUV for the mountain road, but we enjoyed the seclusion. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.
