Good mid-priced hotel
My first time staying here. Wonderful helpful staff. The location is great, in the heart of El Centro with the Tranvia at your doorstep. The breakfast was excellent with many choices both hot and cold, lots of fresh fruit. There is parking available 1/2 block away, at $14.00 per day. Strongly recommend.

They didn’t find my reservation , and gave me a double standard room , after that they took one of the beds from the room and make us sleep ( 2 tall persons) on a small bed

I paid over a $100 per night during the city festivities. Completely overpriced. The hotel is older, the hallway carpets should be replaced. The rooms were clean and the mattress was good, but I was a bit sad with the overall experience. The hotel needs an urgent renovation.

Nice hotel, goodnexperience overall
The hotel was what i expected for the price. Super nice overall, the beds can be a little comfier but they were still good. The lobby, bar are was super nice. The best was the hotel's employees, they were all super nice and customer service was second to none. Recommended!!

The Hotel itself is in a good location near the city center. There was some road construction in front of the hotel, but not their fault. The biggest drawback was the amount of noise coming from outside. They need better (soundproof) windows. All in all, OK for the price, but it could be better.

Well located but pretty run down
I stayed at this hotel many years ago, probably some 16 or 18 years ago, back then the property was in a much better shape than what I found this time round. Much money needs to be invested to bring it back to shape; though it is pretty inexpensive, you can opt for more well kept inexpensive places in Cuenca for the same cost.

Great stay in Downtown Cuenca
The hotel was excellent, great location in the heart of downtown Cuenca. I came to the hotel for the great reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The room was spacious with plenty of electrical outlets specially next to the bed on the desklamp to charge and use your phone while laying in bed (big thumbs up for that) The bed was comfortable. My ONLY complaint is the water pressure from the shower it was pretty weak but they did have hot water. I took showers at all hours of the day and hot water was available every time. Airport shuttle was great to have but my morning flight was to early (530am) for the shuttle so they called me a taxi. The taxi ride to the airport is less than $2 very cheap! As for tours I couldn't really say cause I had friends show me around but the hotel can provide you info on where there is a good tour agency to go to. There is a Double decker city tour bus you can take for $8 and it'll take you around Cuenca. They stop at the main plaza which is 2 to 3 blocks from the Hotel. If I come I'll definitely stay here!

Stayed a week staff was great. Wifi was good but had to get different passwords for each floor and lobby. Breakfast was always good. Very clean and new looking. The city is building tram tracks in front of hotel but didn't bother me. Great band for the buck...

Great service and a good value hotel
Location is good being in the center of town but road construction on the road in front of the hotel has been occurring for months and is a bit disruptive especially for both pedestrian and vehicle access to the hotel. The carpets in the hallways and in the room were a bit old and had a unique smell (worn out and old). Staff were extremely helpful in meeting our needs regarding choice of rooms and overall customer service (cleaning breakfast tables fast, providing directions, getting taxis, etc...). I booked this hotel through an internet company and added a specific request on the number of beds needed but apparently this request wasn't received by the hotel. The hotel staff did their best to accommodate our request.

The room is clean, and the hotel is not too far from the center of town. It's a good value overall, and offers a beautiful restaurant. We decided to try it out for a night on a preliminary basis. The room was fine, however had cigarette burns in the carpet. The restaurant was beautiful, and the free breakfast was quite good. We thought we'd do the convenient thing (and of course spend more money) by eating dinner in the hotel itself. The variety was excellent, however our server advised us the kitchen was very slow. We were one of two tables dining this evening. He indicated we'd need to wait 20-25 minutes for trout. Honestly, it took over an hour. We didn't have high expectations, but the food quality was very good. If you're in a rush, we couldn't recommend the restaurant.

The hotel staff was very helpful and spoke perfect English except for Sunday; there was one man at the desk all day and evening and he spoke no English. The others were very helpful with every request. The buffet breakfast was very good, as was service. They have two computers available for guests with wifi and that was helpful to us but they were sometimes slow. Within a few blocks were many small shops, a city park, several cathedrals, a double-decker tour bus for city tours, the tourist bureau, and the municipal market - an amazing place to shop with three levels of outstanding produce, as well as meat. Prices are already cheap but if you buy a lot you can bargain. The only drawback for the hotel was the beds - they were too hard for us - and there was a television but with only one channel that ran a loop of CSI programs, nothing else. Overall, I would recommend the hotel as a good one.

Well-located basic hotel
Hotel is located only two blocks from main plaza so easy to walk just about anywhere in the historical part of the city. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Wifi didn't work in room but the desk gave me a cable connection cord to use so I was able to access the internet. Breakfast included but basic; dinner menu likewise basic but reasonably priced.

Muy mal, no respetaron la reservación de internet La persona encargada a pesar de indicarle la reservación hecha, nos informó que la reservación no era válida porque no estaba pagada por anticipado Como dato : El la página especificaba que no era necesario pagar con tarjeta por anticipado Y la solución de la persona encargada fue ofrecer una habitación al doble del valor de lo reservado y sino que busque nomas otro hotel Jamás recomendaría el hotel
