We had a great stay here last week! The staff was so friendly, the breakfast delicious, the bed and room super comfy and the best shower in our trip to Austria and Italy! Short walks to shops and restaurants. Fasion/Boutique/eclectic is not usually our 'thing', but it was fun to be out of our element! Hope to go back after the 2026 olympics.

Great staff and excellent location. Short walk to Faloria gondola. Breakfast is nice. Very eclectic decorations. Hard to describe. Room was spacious and clean but had no windows. Only a couple sky lights. We definitely enjoyed the hotel and would stay again

Great choice for top quality Boutique Hotel. Beeakfast is excellent with plenty of selections. Walking distance to main turist area and shopping. Lovely small hotel in the center of Cortina, very clean and modern with a really nice breakfast room. The only negative is the walls / door to the room are thin and you can hear other guests in the hallway. It was distracting.

Ambra Contina is wonderful. Beautiful boutique hotel. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Located in the middle of the restaurants and shopping and access to the ski lifts. Won’t hesitate to visit again and again.

Steps away from the clock tower and the shops and restaurants, the hotel was very welcoming and a perfect location for everything Cortina has to offer. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. Attention to detail in all the rooms made it a special stay. The breakfast was lovely.

Cozy, warm and cheerful stay
Ambra Cortina was a warm and cozy little hotel we really enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly - we took their advise on restaurants and had very memorable meals. The hotel has interesting theatrical design in the common areas, yet quiet and comfortable in the the rooms.

Great location with construction noise
1) Expect extreme construction noise through 2026 in preparation for the olympics. There are 15 visible cranes in the vicinity, and the next door property is under construction. We could not open our windows it was so loud. Think jackhammers, banging, beeping, saws running, etc. 2) Our shower did not drain properly, so we had to turn the water on and off to avoid overflowing the shower pan (while standing in water). 3) breakfast was decent but the scrambled eggs were served cold. 4) Our room smelled strongly of disinfectant, and the hotel soaps smelled awful. I know that sounds petty but I cannot imagine anyone picking those soaps for their hotel. 5) Service was pleasant but standard. We didn’t love our stay and would stay elsewhere if we came back to the area.

Dear Anonymous,Thank you very much for having chosen Ambra Cortina for your last stay in the pearl of the Dolomites.It is true that the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo has lost some of its tranquility in recent months, due to the preparatory works for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, a situation which although regrettable, cannot be attributed to our modest structure .In addition, we make a point of trying to remedy as much as possible the various inconveniences that our guests may experience when they INFORM US... unfortunately, it is only through your comment here that we discover points that could have been easily resolved if shared in the real time with the Hotel Staff.Our structure uses several lines of products for the personal hygiene of the guests, if the Ferragamo and Ortigia product lines were not sufficiently convenient for you, we would have found a solution anyway; as if it is impossible for us to move a neighboring construction crane, we clearly believe that we are able to find any other suitable hygiene product, just for you.The same goes for our copious and varied breakfast, for which a simple small observation towards one of our waitresses would have been enough to correct any shortcoming observed.We would be honored if you would agree to come back to us during your next visit to the Dolomites, to allow us to offer you a better experience of Cortina d'Ampezzo by Ambra Cortina.Best regards.

We had the privilege of staying at Ambra for 3 nights at the beginning & end of our multi day hike through the Dolomites. They kept our bags while we were away & had them ready in our room when we arrived again - lovely! We loved having multiple windows &/or balcony doors to open to allow fresh air & views to surround us. The staff were always friendly & helpful! The breakfast every morning was AMAZING & the ambience so quaint & cozy! The food was delicious & atmosphere ideal - we looked forward to breakfast every day! The location was perfect, centrally located allowing us to walk everywhere. The only slight negative was that the wifi connection in one of our rooms was quite poor & essentially was useless (our first room had a great wifi connection) which was disappointing. The wifi issue, however, did not take away from our experience at Ambra & if we were fortunate to find our way to Cortina again, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The staff were without doubt my favourite aspect of this hotel. Friendly, helpful, most spoke perfect English (my Italian is terrible and limited). I also enjoyed the themes around the decor for the room and the public areas. Far more interesting than most hotels. The breakfast options were great, food and drinks were nice, although it was a little expensive for what it was. That said, Cortina d'Ampezzo itself was a very expensive place and in that context is was fair enough. The main thing that I didn't enjoy was the fact there was a lot of building work going on nearby. There wasn't much in the way of noise during my visit but the room had basic screen curtains and lights from a crane opposite shone into the room through the night, so as a light sleeper, this wasn't ideal. If you visit this hotel on a Motorbike, as I did, be really careful with how you enter/exit the car park. It's brilliant to have free parking, but the steepness, the camber and cobbles could pose challenges. All in all though, a lovely place to stay, I know it would be even better once nearby building work is completed and I would love to visit again.

The hotel is very nice, with a mix of traditional and quirky decoration. The room was nice and large and the staff very helpful. The breakfast options were varied and excellent. My only comment is on the timing of our stay. In mid-May, most of Cortina's businesses are closed so there wasn't much to do. Apparently it will all ramp up at the end of May.

The hotel is amazing! The staff is exceptional!! The decorations area awesome! Location is perfect! A few things they can do better: 1) Water bottles should be complimentary 2) Hotel should offer a hot tub (for the price!) 3) The mattress should be better - I had a back pain and need to flip the mattress 4) Hotel is a bit pricey

Beautiful boutique hotel, loved the arty decor, gold serve ware and table setting at breakfast is gorgeous. Cozy and clean, we had a wonderful balcony, room 16. Close to gondola and ski rental making it very easy. Wonderful to walk in town for an aperol and ate at LP, local reasonable and excellent! We’ll come back with our adult children . Magical stay. The chocolates at front desk thoughtful touch. All staff very friendly and helpful, front desk, bar, bellhop, breakfast young ladies, and gracious owner. Loved our stay!

Coming to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the off season can be both good and not so great. It's much quieter and I believe the rates are much lower, but much of the town is either closed or businesses/restaurants close earlier. Those looking to shop and really experience the town might be more thrilled in the summer and definitely in the winter when this town is in full swing. Dining options in the fall are limited, though quite good. The hotel itself was lovely, the breakfast was good and filling, and the town is adorable.

This property is one of those rare hotels that is managed and imbued with spirit. It has the owner's touch in everything, and the owner's care. It sets it completely apart from run-of-the-mill "luxe" hotels, that aren't luxe at all, no care present or offered. The Ambra is very good indeed, and ideally situated.

Great location and great property! The rustic charm was complimented by glamours decorating! The property staff was very helpful during the entire stay! Moudi was exceptionally helpful with dinner recommendations and navigating the parking! The breakfast was incredible! The food selection was amazing and great quality! The dinning staff was very pleasant and helpful!
