Not what was expected
Unfortunately this property and our stay was not what we expected. From trying to get in touch about a late check out to the overall quality of the property was rather disappointing. We traveled to corpus for my husband's birthday and were going on a fishing trip Monday morning. This properties check out is 10am, which is extremely early. My husband and i both work in the hotel industry and standard is 11. However, i tried getting in touch for days to inquire about a late check out. Finally was able to get in touch with someone the day we were checking in and it was available for a $10 charge. Wow! Upon arrival we were shocked to pull up to a building that was less than eye appealing. Now the room was clean, very dated but clean. Only 1 TV was accessible. The TV in the master room was not hooked up to cable but there was a book of DVDs to watch. That would have been great but not 1 of the 3 DVD players worked. I reached out again for assistance but no reponse. We planned to use the pool on Sunday and did with hesitation. It was absolutely disgusting! Saturday when we arrived a gentleman was vacuuming the pool but it was still merky. My husband backwashed it because we own a pool and thats a step needed. Once again i reported it and this time someone local texted me and explained because its a weekend the cleaning company wasnt available. I understand we are at the beach and there is sand. But this was dirty. Unfortunately i would not stay here again. Overall not great

Short stay
Really loved the condo wish I had more time. The only gripe is not with condo but the excessive fees that are charged. Also I am a front line nurse was supposed to be getting a discount thru Vrbo but that didn’t happen. These things have nothing to do with the condo, Really loved the place.

We had stayed here before, it was nice to see they had upgraded the tv, but the pull out couch needs to be upgraded since it was broken and unable to real sleep on. We had to MacGyver it. Other then that it’s a decent place for at the right price budget.

Condo was not ready at 4:00pm; carpet in bedroom very stained; pullout bed was so worn out, not able to sleep on it. Kitchen was good; mattress on bed comfortable but condo needs a lot of updating.

UNEXPECTED
Not a condo, more of an old apartment complex. Not a 2 minute walk to the beach, more of a 15-20 minute drive. Looks like the ruins of Beirut looking out from the balcony over the pool. The old Schlitterbahn ruins was our view.

Disappointed stay
The property is in a bad location, the pool is dirty, the unit had a bad roach problem. My son said it looked like a place where people that are running from the law go to hide. Not worth the cost at all.

Great location, slightly 'off the beaten path' but close to beach shopping and restaurants. Condo was very well kept, and had a nice 'home' feel with decor and furnishings. A/C works great! There is no WiFi but other than that its a great place. Will definatly stay again!

This property offers a lot of convenient articles to make your stay pleasant. The building outside is a little rundown and it needs some maintenance. Inside the apartment was just as the pictures stated. The location was close to the beach (5 minutes drive). The pool was warm and pleasant.

A nice place to stay when in the area
The front door box needs to be good working order because when I first arrived it did not work with any of the codes, had to call for someone to come out and unlock the door. Also, the shower dispenser was completely empty so shampoo , soap etc The mattress pad on the sofa had crumbs all over it , had to wash it. The dishes in the cabinet were not washed and had food stains on the plate. Everything else was fine.

Compass 21 condo was very clean. Despite that only issue was roaches. Even found one in the bed. 😬
Renting process and check out was great. Everything in the condo was great and clean. Only for the Small roaches not infested just a few especially in the bathroom. But the condo is old and being that it is very well cleaned tells me roach situation is being dealt with as best as possible.

Not what I expected
Overall the place is nice and comfortable. But there is no WiFi, they definitely have a pest problem ( roaches in the kitchen area) and the outside maintenance of the building is very poor.

Nice convenient beach location
The exterior of the building could use an upgrade and patio furniture for the pool. The unit is clean and convenient to the beach and to Waves formerly Schlitterbahn. Older unit but nice place to stay.

Major Disappointment
Add was correct with building being old. Pictures were deceiving. Condo was disgusting. There were fingernail or toenail clippings on the floor in the livingroom. The blinds in the livingroom were 2" blinds that were open and would not close. There were dead bugs on the livingroom floor, and had roaches crawling on the kitchen walls. Also there was food stains on the ceiling in the kitchen, and the grout in the kitchen was falling off. The pool was disgusting with trash in it, and all the chairs except for 2 were broken. There was a pile of trash with broken chairs and bbq grill in one corner of pool area and a broken washer and dryer in the other. Most of the people live in the other condos. The grassy area next to the condo was full of dog poop (people that live there dont pock up their dogs poop). We were barely able to stay 1 night out of the 3 nights we booked. Call the property manager when we got there about the issues of condo being dirty and said someone would be out; that did not happen. We called the next day and said we would be leaving the trip short that day due to the living conditions. Very Disappointed.

We have reported your concerns to the HOA, and the pool has been cleaned. Our local operations manager did attempt to get out to you that evening but had to respond to an emergency call. We apologize if this information was not properly relayed to you. We will continue coaching our housekeeping staff to reach our high cleanliness standards, and repairs are in the works. Pest control has been to the home to visit. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Comfortable place for a get away.
Had pretty much everything we needed. Comfortable bed and sofa and recliner. Only draw back was that we had a couple of cold days and we could not figure how to turn the heat on. 😁

The unit was in a great location, but was barely cleaned. Disappointing
There were no sheets on bed and no A/C on upon arrival. Had to wash and dry our own sheets. No trash bags in trash can, and bathtub was dirty. The unit was barely cleaned. The location is great and the price is good if you can overlook the uncleanliness.

A bit dated, but decent place/location for the money
Overall, I think this condo is ok for the cost. It's in a large 3 story apartment style building, which shares balcony space with others. The building definitely needs some TLC, but was in decent condition. Parking was ok, and the stairs were large/wide. No elevator. The unit itself was decorated well, albeit a bit dated (TV's and appliances). No cable in the bedroom. However, there was a huge album of DVD's, which made for fun nights. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was not working, which was a big deal, since we usually sleep with a fan. There was a smaller fan on the floor which was adequate. The A/C is major need of renovation. The temp struggled to get below 78-79 degrees at times. Late at night, 76-77 was attainable. Again, adequate, but not very comfortable to sleep in. The dryer can only be run on low/no heat (note on the dryer said it would overheat if run any hotter), so drying clothes took several hours. The stove, and microwave worked well, as did the fridge. The front TV was straight out of the 90's, and reminded me of watching TV in standard def back in the day. All in all, it was fine.. Just little things like this I feel could be addressed and make this unit a LOT more appealing (and bring a bigger rental fee for the owner). I would most likely stay here again. The location was great (centrally located to everything on the island), and for the money, you really can't beat it.

We have stayed at several houses/ condos in the past. And this was/ is the best one!!! It was clean, beautifully decorated, and had an awesome pool the kids lived partially in!! I can't say enough about how wonderful this property was. Definitely recommend it to EVERYONE!!! THANKS AGAIN we will be back😁😁😁
