My family of 11 adults and a newborn stayed for a running event in the area. Plenty of room and quiet for adults who wake at different hours. Never heard anyone in the morning. Outdoor amenities were amazing, counted 5 fireplaces/fire pits. Well appointed and very clean. Great place to stay. Would definitely stay again. 👍👍

Perfect Lake House!
We had the BEST time staying at Making Waves. The pictures really don’t do this property justice. It’s so well maintained and no detail is over looked. The pool is so nice, the game room and bar is amazing and all the bathrooms are so clean. We loved staying here and had great communication with management company.

Making Waves
This is an amazing home. Beds are super comfy and kitchen well stocked. Only missing a full set of measuring cups (only had the full cup). The pool proved to be the highlight of the trip. Close to places we wanted to visit. Very quiet location. Perfect amount of space for all 18 of us which included 7 children.

Family Vacation
My 4 children, their spouses, and children joined my husband and I for a family vacation. We came from all different directions. The house was lovely and we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The house was well stocked with dishes, towels, and supplies. The couch in the lower level was ripped on the back but still usable. The beds were very comfortable. The pool area was fantastic and we used it all the time. It was clean and well maintained. However, the grassy area in the back yard was a muddy mess. If you walked on the grass, your feet were sucked into mud. This was not due to rain as we had one rainy night the entire stay and it was muddy the whole time. Not a good situation with kids. The front yard was dry, we just didn't use it. However, there were several hiccups that affected our stay. The house was not available at 4, Cleaners needed until 5:45. The sewer broke and overflowed. Toilet paper and fecal matter were all over the lower deck, by the outdoor shower and stairs from upper deck. This took 2 days, Sunday and Monday all day, to fix properly,resulting in many, many hours without any running water each day. The next morning, the upper level A/C malfunctioned, creating a pocket of water in the ceiling which dripped onto the couch in the living room, soaking part of the couch, making it unusable. HVAC tech came that morning and fixed it in about 2 hours. These hiccups caused the adults a great deal of stress.

Great for Multigeneration Family Event
This VRBO was more stocked than any we have ever stayed at. SO clean. Pack and Plays, fans, spices, Instapots, blenders, etc. They just had all the little extras that make it sooo much easier to stay. We brought 2 Instapots and did not need them!!!! Kids loved the pool and the lake. We rented a boat with a tube locally. So much fun. Do NOT hesitate to book. Pool was super cold due to the cloudy weather and trees around it. Just a note if you have littles, there is only one bath tub in the house. AMAZING spa tub but all the kids had to bathe in the master. We really did not need to leave but if we did everything was close to buy groceries etc. Pool table, ping pong, and foosball were so much fun!!!

WE LOVED THIS HOUSE !
Me and my family had a great stay here. The house was amazing it was spacious. Everything was clean and exactly how it was described when I booked it. My family loved it there was plenty to do. We were so close to many restaurants and shops. We definitely have this house saved in our favorites we look forward to booking again in the future.

A Great Experience
This property is lovely and well appointed from the top to the bottom. It was everything we hoped for! The appliances were amazing. The teens enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. The pool and game room were big hits. The home is just so well suited for family groups with teenagers. We cannot say enough about the host! So helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

Spacious enough for 10 of us. Kids enjoyed the pool. Tight quarters for pontoon boat, but we managed. Kayaks were a plus. Surprisingly quiet area even though close neighbors!

It was the perfect house!
Having the pool and access to the lake was perfect! We rented a boat and had the perfect vacation. The fenced in area was great for our grandkids ages 2,3,9,10 & 12. The lake water was warm, the first floor deck area was perfect with overhead fans. Great house for a large family. And the property manager was the absolute best!

Annual Family Reunion
We were disappointed by not having enough linens or pillows to use all the beds. Towels and wash clothes were limited as well. I went out and bought some but didn’t leave them behind, sorry. For such an expensive cleaning fee this place had mold in the showers, filthy baseboards and trash and junk taking up the parking spaces in the garage. All of this gave this expensive rental a dirty feeling. A very nice welcome gift of wine, chocolates and snacks were there on our arrival, that was very nice.

My goal is always for all of our guests to love their vacations and experience and had I been contacted during your stay any issue could have been remedied. Extra linens and pillows are kept on the shelves in the laundry room and downstairs in the ottoman. And additional pillows in the bedroom closets. If more than those were needed, We have a locked linen closet that you Can access with the lockbox. I do inspect the house before guests arrive and have not noted uncleanliness but have shared this review with cleaning staff and asked that they focus on the baseboards. I've not noted mold in any showers. There was a dripping shower head that has been replaced recently and I'm not sure if that dripping water may have caused and now fixed that as I've not had this concern from guests after. We do keep one trash bin in the garage for easy access. There is a second fridge in the garage as well as an extra table/chairs , bed frame with mattress in case a bed frame brakes during your stay it can quickly be set up otherwise these items are on back order 3 months. Yes this does limit the garage to one car. There are ample parking spots enough for 7-9 cars or RV or boat trailers.

Beautiful house and property
My family and I had a great time celebrating my parents’ 50th anniversary during our stay! The house was lovely and the pool was amazing. It is not heated, but we found it perfect. We rented a pontoon boat and docked it right there at the personal dock. Communication with the host was excellent as we had a few hiccups. Our only negative was there being one bathroom for the entire upstairs. We made it work though! Wonderful place!

Amazing Memorial Day Weekend
Took a long weekend with 6 couples for a fun getaway on the lake with our friends. Each couple had their own room. Property was clean, open, and comfortable with lots of water toys for both the pool and the lake and so much to do! We never left the house. The neighborhood was beautiful, and the property manager was available for all of our questions!

Great lake house!
We could not have had a better experience with this house. Plenty of room for 13 of us, great kitchen and outdoor area to grill, awesome downstairs for watching movies/sports, and private location so you can really have privacy. Amazing lakefront vacation
My husband and I are still dreaming about our stay at the lake house. Our kids, ranging ages 15-21 and niece 8, are calling it one of our to all-time vacations. There was something amazing and special about the house and the property. First of all, it was fully stocked, and I mean overstocked. 25 pool towels washed and ready to use, plates, silverware and cookware more than we needed. Anything we wanted was already in the house. Two blenders for drinks, pool toys, brand new life jackets hanging in the shed with tags still on. All to say, the owner spared no expense, and it made it all that more pleasurable. During the day we rented extra kayaks and two jet skis and it was incredible. At night, pool, ping pong and foosball. After night two we didn’t put on the TV, we were truly on vacation and there was more than enough to do. The pool was salt water and on the smaller size but it was actually perfect. We loved taking a dip after hanging out at the lake, fishing was amazing. The house is nestled in a cove but close enough to open water that you you aren’t stuck in a no wake zone for too long. The owner was extremely responsive and accommodating. We were able to check in early because cleaning was done by a larger crew—the owner let us know. Very considerate.

A great rental property for the Westport/Denver area of the Lake. The house was exceptionally well stocked with a newly restyled interior. The cove location makes it a little tight to navigate the water but we managed. I would highly recommend this house and appreciated the promptness of the property owner/manager.

As displayed on our VRBO webpage there are 3 full bathrooms, one is wheelchair accessible as is that shower, another has both a large walk in shower and a 2 person jetted tub and the other has a shower. Besides the full bathrooms, there is a half bath (WC) on the main level and then another half bath(California shower-hot and cold water) outdoors.

We are a family of 15 people. There were plenty of beds for all of us. Mattresses were quite soft for those needing firmer mattresses may not be for you! We were within steps of the lake and our dock. We rented a pontoon and had a blast skiing and tubing. Pool was very nice with provided rafts noodles and other pool toys. The Weber grille located on a deck overlooking pool was excellent This is a nice house in a good location with plenty of room

Great house for family re-connecting!
Stayed at this home last week with my family. There were 6 of us. Ample space for many more. It's fenced in, there's a pool, gas grill, pool table, TVs, updated appliances, a deck, and a dock. There were some minor questions and an a/c issue but Catherina (owner) addressed them quickly and took care of it. We really had a great week and used most of what this house offered. You can rent boats or jet skis close by and the lake is great! Would rent here again.

Hi Stacey, I wish you had told me of any issues when I stopped by mid-week. You told me everything was great and you were having a nice time. Had I known the specific issues they could have been remedied for you and future guests. We did replace the dryer during your stay as I noticed during inspecting the property prior to your arrival that it was not getting very hot and requiring longer drying times. The dishwasher was replaced about a month ago and all other appliances replaced 2019. Before the season started we got new living room and sunroom furniture as well as new beds for some of the bedrooms. The house is cleaned and sterilized following CDC guidelines, linens cleaned in house and quarantined 14 or more days. Windows, pressure washing and carpet deep cleaning are cycled and done monthly during peak season. We always encourage guests to contact us immediately if there are any issues.

The property is really nice and had all the room that we needed for a large family (12 people) Thanksgiving get together. The view of the back was really great. We had a few issues when first arriving but the owner was super responsive via text and took care of everything instantly. We really appreciated that! While all the general services appeared fairly clean, it was obvious that the cleaning crew was missing the detailed areas. Given the price of the cleaning fee, we would have liked to see that money used to provide a deeper clean that included under furniture, replacement of expired light bulbs, and to maintain fabrics better. But all in all a great place and the owner was certainly super to work with. We'd recommend this location to anyone.

Thank you David for your feedback! We are now alternating between 2 cleaning companies that meet the CDC Guidelines to assure proper cleaning and sterilization of the property. We have purchased new higher quality linen for the beds for improved comfort. There are more blankets and linen to allow for at least 14 days quarantine of bedding in between guests. All lights are being checked and replaced by maintenance prior and extra light bulbs made available in case they go out during your stay. We strive to make you stay as safe and comfortable as possible.

The home is lovely!! Lots of room throughout!! Great location on Lake Norman!!
We loved the home and floor plan!! The basement is great for kids and video games on a large theater screen. Pool was a huge hit as well!! Open floor plan was perfect while entertaining family. Lots of beds!! A huge surprise. The fenced in yard was perfect for our Easter Egg Hunt!! What a great gathering space for our whole family!! Thank you so very much!!

Plenty of space to sleep, nice communal space to gather with friends and family, friendly host and greeter, nice location. Went in the winter so didn't get to use outdoor amenities, but a great space for indoor get together.
