Almost perfect
Offered everything needed with the special plus of a trullo stay. Great new kitchen and beautiful pool! Two main issues: Hot water a big problem in main house (heater not staying on, with need to reset often) and insufficient hot water in trullo. Structural problem with plaster left crumbling pieces and powder throughout main house. Perhaps not dangerous but not agreeable either.

Lovely setting of house
We had a lovely relaxing time with family. We had a problem with the hot water - no hot water in kitchen and intermittent hot water in main bathroom. In Trullo, hot water was fine, although would have liked a mirror in room for dressing. The only mirror was in the bathroom around the corner of sink making it difficult to use .

Short moment in paradise
We had a wonderful stay - great house - great trulli - great pool and fresh figs everyday. Hazel the manager was absolutly fantastic and friendly. She even encouraged us to use the pizza oven. We would love to come back again sometime in the future.

Enjoying Puglia with Friends
Had a great time seeing Puglia and the property, the property was magnificent for our daily relaxing after traveling to the many wonderful towns around. Made a few meals in the wood oven, took some practice but it made for a fun evening and good food.

Slice of Heaven in Ceglie Messapica
I didn’t know what it would be like staying in an authentic trullo. What a delight I was in for! The whitewashed limestone walls and stone floors were gorgeous. The four poster bed was lovely and super comfy. The sitting area provided bonus space and the bathroom was the perfect size. Beautifully decorated. I opened the cute blue screened door windows every morning to start my day and soak in some Italian sunshine. Afternoon napping was equally delightful as the bed faces the outside and I opened both doors to get my Zzzs and enjoy the breezy afternoons. Note that many Italian shops close in the afternoons- it’s the Italian version of siestas, so explore early! Quiet neighborhood. Good for morning walks. Great base location. Every day I daytripped and explored beautiful and historical nearby cites like Lecce, Ostuni, Martina Franca….hope to come back soon and stay here again.

Relaxing and Peaceful country retreat
The property was lovely, very clean and well presented. The bedrooms were spacious with, generally, good storage for clothes; however, the Trullo had nowhere really for clothes (we used the bedside tables and brought through the coat stand from the main house). The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, plates etc. Our one reservation about the kitchen was the cooker - it is an induction - if you've never used one of these, do make sure you get a full demonstration when you arrive: it is fine once you know how. The outside space and swimming pool were fabulous. The surrounding area was gloriously tranquil and picturesque. It is a short drive on quite narrow roads to get to the property, but it is very straight forward and after the first trip, not difficult. The nearby towns are lovely, with lots of nice restaurants. We would definitely go back!

Beautiful home and great location for vacation!
Beautiful home and pool! Location is awesome about 10 minutes to town( restaurants , cafe, groceries and many more) and a hour away from many beautiful other cities! Long day doing sightseeing and back at beautiful poolside with glass of local wine 🍷! House manager is very friendly shared lots of great tips throughout our trip! Highly recommend!! Can't wait to go back!!

Perfect escape for peace & quiet.
Thank you Heather & Alex for sharing Trullo Dolce. Taking our parents back to the region after nearly 50 yrs, peace and quiet was the order of the day. Trullo Dolce was perfect for our needs, located amongst Olive groves, accessed via single track roads but 10/20 mins drive from Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica and their amenities. The outdoor lighting, when returning back after an evening out is very efficient, but remember to turn off, lay back on your lounger with your 'nightcap' (of course!) & look up! Hazel, thank you! Your great comms started prior to arrival to ensure a smooth journey to the Trullo. A great welcome and explanation of facilities and very good local recommendations (incl. San Marzano Cantine!) and thank you for your offer of contact throughout our stay (which so helped with our revisit of family history near Rosa Marina, a personal thank you from all our family) Trullo Dolce has all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. We required minimum steps/stairs for parents and with everything at ground floor level, and therefore Trullo Dolce was ideal for us. Between the Villa & Trullo you have a choice of modern or traditional living with everyone coming together for an indoor or outdoor dining area, serviced by a well equipped kitchen. Take heed of Hazel's advice on electricity when cooking and you won't go wrong (It's the same in all rural areas) WiFi helps with the restaurant location & review checks and nice touches like the bluetooth speaker, compliment poolside relaxation time. TV (should you require it) has the Apps for your own log-in. Outside, as previously mentioned has not only the seating area but 2 traditional Pizza ovens, lounge area and an amazing sized pool. There is plenty of poolside area to spread out and gardens to walk and identify the flora & fauna. Thank you again. Liam
