Texas Road Trip
We made a last minute emergency booking because another VRBO cancelled on us at the last minute. Kristy confirmed us immediately. The location was good and far from the "eclipse crowd". We had an 75 minute ride to the Pacific War Museum. The 2 bedroom house was comfortable. So was the pullout sofa. However the pullout was a mess and I had to vacuum it. The spare sheets were dusty so I washed them prior to using. Ate in Maven's Grill

Beautiful place
We stayed at this property over Thanksgiving and it was so nice and roomy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the needed utensils and the pantry was well stocked with incidentals. We all enjoyed the abundance of wildlife that visited the property daily. This property is a must if your visiting the Canyon Lake area.

Great Place
My family loves the house. We have stayed here many times. Krisy is a great host and very responsive. The balcony is our favorite place as we feed and watch the deer.

We rented this place for our girls trip and loved it! Very spacious. The back deck is huge with a view of the lake and hills. Everything was provided, so we didn’t have to worry about bringing a bunch of stuff. Tucked away but conveniently located to entertainment and stores. We will be back!

Superb views and outdoor space.
I was amazed at the huge cover back deck and the endless Vistas of not only the lake but the entire canyon that was in plain view. It had many more features and amenities that was not mentioned.The home is well equipped and not lacking in anyway. We liked the fact it felt lived in and not just stagged for pictures. Kristi was a great host and very responsive. We will definitely return.

Nice place, good features
Loved the covered back porch and the view. (Will be nicer when the lake level is back to normal.) Glad the fenced area was designed well enough to keep my energetic pups contained - even when they really wanted to go say hello to the deer. Lots of wildlife in the area - we saw a fox on our evening walk. Only issue was a neighboring house partying outside loudly late into the night, but I always pack earplugs anyway.

Great weekend getaway
We had a wonderful weekend here. It was peaceful and the view was lovely. The house was clean and we appreciated that we were able to bring our pets. Be aware there is multilevel stairs that decend to the backyard. It wasn’t a problem for us, however. The master bed was very squeaky so we didn’t sleep well. The mattress was good but the box spring needs replaced. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying there.

I really enjoyed my stay. It's a cute house, with everything you need. I needed some R&R and it was very, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. My dogs really enjoyed the dog run as well.

Dog Friendly Vacation Haven
We stayed in this property for a month starting the second week of December. We were traveling with our two dogs so a dog friendly VRBO was required. This house was perfect for us with a very large fenced in yard and large deck in the back of the house. Our dogs really enjoyed watching nature while on the deck. The furniture is dog friendly and floors are solid surface so easy to clean up dog hair or sandy foot prints. We always bring quilts to put on the beds and the owner asked that we put sheets on the couches. I brought my sewing machine and worked on projects on the large dining room table. I brought an iron and ironing pad but used the owners ironing board and iron. We had plenty of room for family dinner with relatives that live in the area. We found the kitchen supplied with all the utensils we needed for cooking and baking for the holidays. The area is good for dog walking and listening to the sounds of various birds, viewing deer and foxes, and just relaxing with a lake view.

We had such a fun and relaxing time here! The house is super cute and our pups really enjoyed the fenced in yard. We spent most of our time on the amazing patio enjoying the view and feeding the deer. :) The only complaint I have is the outdoor grill really needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Family Gathering
From start to finish, this property is absolutely amazing. We spent most of our time on the back porch. The property is fully equipped with everything you need. The house was very clean and roomy. Every day all day, there was wild life all over the place. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend this property to everyone looking for a getaway from the city.

The house was extremely clean! Location was great for what we needed. The only reason I gave overall rating a 4 was because everytime I turned over in the bed either the mattress pad crinkled and made noise or the bed frame squeaked. I tried both beds and there was extra noise that came with both. Would not have been a big issue but I had a 3 year old next to me I was trying not to wake. However, it would not prevent us from staying there again.

We booked for a family function and this place exceeded my expectations! It was beautiful, clean, warm, and bright at the same time. Everything truly felt like home away from home and the pictures of the view don't do it justice. It's breathtaking! My kids explored everything and loved feeding the deer. I think playing cards on the deck was my favorite part. :) My family had the BEST time thanks to Kristy and her amazing home! Would definitely book again.

Visiting Canyon Lake
We came to visit my son and his family while they were staying at a RV park. We decided to rent a house because we knew our three granddaughters (7, 5, and 2) would want to stay with us which they did. Of course, my husband and I didn't mind. It was perfect for all of us which also included our dog. The house was clean, and the beds were made. The girls were excited to have the TV in the second bedroom. The 2 oldest girls slept on the queen bed while the youngest slept in the pack & play we brought. Having a full kitchen (with plates, utensils, pots, pans, etc), living room, 2 full bedrooms, 2 full baths, dishwasher, washer, dryer, etc. was great. It was also nice to have towels, paper towels, toilet paper, etc available. Even though we were not able to use the community pool because it was close for the season, there was a pass available for us to use. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the Canyon Lake from the deck. The girls (myself also) did enjoy seeing the deers around the property. They were able to feed a deer while we walked on the street. That made their day. The check-in and check-out procedures were excellent. There were 2 things that we had a concern: 1) Next door neighbor’s dog. When we arrived at the house the first day, he was excited, started barking and was jumping up and down. Initially, I was concern the dog would bother us the whole week. He didn’t to our relief. I guess he got use to us. 2) The front porch light did not work. It needs to be fixed. It was hard to see the steps when it turned dark. We probably should have informed the owner in the beginning. I am sure it will be taken care of. We did appreciate that we were able to bring our dog. If we ever go back to Canyon Lake, we will not hesitate to reserve this house if it available. Carmen and Ed

Wonderful Stay
The place is bigger than the pictures show, the view is wonderful and my dogs enjoyed the weather. I love that it was fenced in and I did not have to worry about deer or my dogs frightening each other. Checking in and out procedures were thorough. We had a great time.

Property is located in a marginal neighborhood. Construction on one side and junky property on the other. This is not in the owners control. The construction will soon be finished.. the other?? That being said the property itself is ideally situated to venues, clean and grounds well taken care of. We enjoyed the expansive deck, deer and our pet took advantage of fenced yard. Future renters may wish to bring deer corn, wish we had. We noted some lights out inside. Owner should inspect the swing supports, we noted one hook is worn. We would consider renting again.

Relaxing stay!
The house was very clean and location was great to a lot of places. We mainly went to Comal Park with our dogs and they loved it. The dog run was great for the dogs to stay secure and observe the wildlife around them. There were deers all over the neighborhood!!

Our stay was well worth it. The property is well managed. It had everything we needed an some. Overlooking the lake and watching dear in the morning was so relaxing.
