Great find in Black Forest - close to Daimler
Great hotel in Black Forest - close to calw which has a nice old town, and next to old abbey. 30 min commute to Daimler - no traffic ! Better option than Stuttgart or Singelfingen . Hotel is great - very good bar and restaurant, nice pool, clean rooms - only issue is no AC and it was very hot while I was there.

Nice rooms w/ high ceilings. OK indoor pool, with limited seating. Rooms also didn't have A/C, but we had a nice breeze with the windows open. Breakfast was fairly good, but we called down to ask if breakfast was included, and were told "of course!", and then were charged 25 euro at check-out. When we tried to contest the charge, they just said, "well your rate didn't include breakfast, so...". Would have appreciated them taking off the charge.

Great hotel with rude staff
I visted this area for a concert and the hotel is right next to the venue. There is nothing in this remote area even close to this hotel except the old church complex where famous artists come to perform. You can tell there has been money put into this hotel, as the hotel facilities are great! The problem is that people make the hotel a good experience or bad and this hotel's staff is rude! First, booking this room six months in advance I requested a smoking room and the hotel is smoke free, fine. There are rooms with balconies and that would have been just fine with me, but no one cared to even accomodate me and put me in very small room where I had to take a elevator down and go outside and that was very difficult. The main problem is the resturant staff. There are three witches that work the breakfast and they could not even care to seat me in the morning. I sat at a dirty table and not one of these witches came to clean the table or ask if I wanted any coffee. I had to take eating knifes and fork from another table and after twenty minutes I had to get up and ask for coffee. Even then, these three witches are only interested in walking around and talking between themselves. Although, ironically, they take good care of the German guests, but not foreigners! After thirty minutes, I finally had to get up and yell at them to get me coffee. This is the same for the dinner staff at night. For a expensive hotel, I thought that the staff would be better! Bad experience!!

Das Hotel passt nicht ganz zu den vier Sternen, die es zu haben scheint. Zimmer sind alt, jedoch sehr sauber. Frühstück etwas klein, aber ansonsten in Ordnung. Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich haustierfreundlich, allerdings durften wir unseren Hund nicht zu Frühstück mitbringen. Ein Frühstück auf der Restaurantterrasse im Außenbereich war nicht gestattet.

Sehr geehrter Gast,es tut uns leid, dass Sie mit Ihrem Aufenthalt nicht zufrieden waren.Unser Haus wurde erst im Januar diesen Jahres wieder als 4 Sterne Huas ausgezeichnet.Leider hatten Sie bei Ihrer Buchung Ihren Hund nicht angemeldet.Da nicht in allen Zimmern ein Hund erlaubt ist, waren wir sehr froh Ihnen so kurzfristig noch ein Zimmer geben zu können wo dies erlaubt ist.Ein Hund beim Frühstück ist leider nicht erlaubt, da andere Gäste sich oft von Tieren gestört fühlen, da möchten wir um Rücksicht bitten.Unsere Zimmer sind in einem äusserts gepflegten Zustand, so wie das ganze denkmalgeschützte Haus.Wir legen größten Wert darauf dass das Gesamtambiente stimmig ist, da wären moderne Einrichtungsstile nicht passend.Sie finden auf unsere Homepage viele Bilder von den Zimmern und dem Hotelambiente, welche alle der Realität entsprechen.Vor Ort haben Sie uns darauf angesprochen, dass Sie eine Klimaanlage erwartet hätten, diese haben wir in unserem geschichtsträchtigen Hotel nicht und es wäre auch baulich sehr schwierig in den Zimmern eine anständige Klimaanlage zu installieren.Gerne haben wir Ihnen einen Ventilator zur Verfügung gestellt und hoffen, dass es dadurch für Sie angenehmer war, zumal zum glück bei uns im Nordschwarzwald die Temeperaturen nachts unter 20 Grad sindDie Informationen zu unserm Haus hätten wir Ihnen gerne bei der Buchung schon mitgeteilt, jedoch erfolgte diese über ein Portal und da wir nicht wussten, dass Sie mit Hund anreisen, konnten wir Sie leider dementsprechend erst an der Rezeption in Kenntnis setzen.

Die Zimmereinrichtung ist schwer in die Jahre gekommen, mein Bett war mächtig lautstark schon alleine beim drauf sitzen. Personal freundlich und ein durchaus erwähnenswert gutes Frühstück. Preise in der Gastro sind meiner Meinung nach etwas abgehoben.

Ich hatte zunächst ohne Frühstück gebucht. Als sich unsere Pläne kurzfristig änderten und ich tel. anfragte, ob wir auch frühstücken könnten, stellte sich das als Problem dar. Auch beim einchecken war noch nicht klar, ob wir ein Frühstück zum gebuchten Zimmer bekommen würden. Wir haben deshalb darauf verzichtet und hatten das Gefühl, es hinge mit der Buchung über dieses Portal zusammen und wir würden wegen des günstigeren Preises als Gäste 2. Klasse behandelt. Ansonsten war das Zimmer in jeder Hinsicht in Ordnung.
