I recently stayed at Namu Garden Hotel & Spa - Adults Only in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is simply stunning, nestled close to Negra Beach, which provides a serene and picturesque backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, including an inviting outdoor swimming pool, and lush garden. The room was beautifully designed with modern amenities, ensuring utmost comfort. I stayed in a bungalow with a private pool, and it was a luxurious retreat. The room featured blackout curtains, a minibar, a flatscreen TV, and a spacious private bathroom with complimentary toiletries. The attention to detail in the room’s decor and amenities truly enhanced the stay. The staff at Namu Garden Hotel & Spa are incredibly attentive and friendly. From the warm welcome at the 24-hour front desk to the impeccable housekeeping, every interaction was positive. What stood out the most was the tranquil and adult-only environment, making it the perfect destination for couples looking to unwind.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Namu. The staff was polite and courteous and eager to serve with a smile. We stayed in bungalow 2 and it was extremely clean, well appointed and very private. Our private plunge pool was beautiful and clean and we used it every day. The staff works very hard to keep the property clean. The service staff made every meal and cocktail we enjoyed at the property pleasant. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of all of the local shops, markets and stores. The locals are the friendliest and happiest people on earth. We highly recommend Namu and hope to visit again!

This place is amazing! The property is so beautiful, very well maintained! The service was great! The staff was very kind and helpful! We stayed in a bungalow and loved the private plunge pool and deck! The room was nice and clean! The only thing that we wish was better was the mattress. We will definitely be coming back!

The property was beautiful, they came to clean the room and swept the floors daily, breakfast was top tier with 8 different options I was able to try something different each morning. A true oasis. And the beach was just a couple minutes walk away.

The property is amazing! It’s small and quaint. We stayed in a bungalow which also offered needed privacy given the trees surrounding the unit. The food was excellent (the free breakfast was a nice additur) and the service attentive. They went out of their way to assist us with our needs. It is in the heart to Puerto Viejo’s downtown area so close to everything - restaurants, shopping, and La Playa Negra (black beach). The only negative was the cleaning lady’s use of water apparently drenched with urine. The bathroom smelled of urine every time we left. We had to go to the grocery store, purchase some bleach and go over the floor and clean the toilet when she left.

10/10 highly recommend this hotel. It’s the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at, and the pictures don’t quite do it justice! Peace, tranquility and relaxation enhanced with the natural beauty, and fang shui of the vibe - I can’t say enough good things about this amazing place. The location is perfect and the team is amazing! I can’t wait to go back!

This was our first time traveling to Costa Rica and staying at NAMU exceeded our expectations. Our room was exquisite and the natural surroundings so serene and beautiful!! The staff was also amazingly warm and friendly it was hard to leave and we plan to visit again soon!

We visited Costa Rica for the first time , we loved our stay at Namu !! Beautiful and clean resort , the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I wish they had a yoga studio, perfect atmosphere for one . Definitely recommend this resort to friends and family. We will definitely stay here again.

Namu was a great relaxing stay close to all the stores and restaurants by the beach in puerto viejo! If you want to visit some of the famous beaches, you’ll need a car or to pay for a drive down, but the beaches nearby are also great! We got an amazing massage and the team was welcoming and helpful. Our bungalow was perfect for two people and we loved the private pool.

Absolutely gorgeous property, amazing amenities and wonderful staff. The big downside, however, is the soundproofing of the units. We stayed in a master suite on the ground floor and the upstairs neighbors simply walking around was enough to disrupt our sleep. I couldn’t relax the entire time because the noise was so disruptive. It was really a disappointment because everything else about the hotel was stunning. Unfortunately, due to the noise I wouldn’t stay here again.

This place is spectacular! The staff provided exceptional service at Namu and the restaurant Num. Noemi provided outstanding support in arrangements including transfers to the hotel from SJO. It is so close to everything in the town. It is very walkable. We stayed in a bungalow which was a great size and the pool was so enjoyable. The free sit-down breakfast every morning was a great perk. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

First, I had a six night stay here and fully appreciate this hotel has not been open for long. This property is beautiful, a small footprint eco-chic oasis. It is very close to the main street and surrounding neighborhood but the hotel itself is not too busy. The room (M8) was excellent and private. I loved being able to sip coffee in the morning sun on the deck. There are thoughtful spaces and touches (water dispenser, several lounge areas). I only wish the location of the open air spa was further from the pool and dining area. The volume of guests and foot traffic doesn’t promote relaxation during the busy dinner time frame. Now the staff- Noemi and Jhosimar at the front desk are wonderful!!! Please keep them; they helped me tremendously and always with a smile!! The f and b crew, lovely!! I would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely ‘Master 3’ room in complete privacy overlooking well kept gardens. The hotel needs to install cable TV - otherwise we had to use YouTube for TV. Mosquitoes in the room were a problem. Needs the hotel anti mosquito plug device as standard. Very good Wi-Fi.

Great Stay at Namu
Great stay and location for Puerto Viejo, We stayed in the Casa house and it was perfect for 4 people. David gave us great service and all of the staff were knowledgeable on activities/ gave advice on best ways to travel around. Enjoyed our 6 nights there the only thing I would recommend is giving a group of 4 or more people two house keys instead of one in case we split up for the day (we also did not ask so maybe that was a possibility). The dinner menu can be a bit pricey however there are many restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance so that is not a worry. The outdoor pool was clean and they had lots of outdoor places to lounge around if needed which was nice.
