Great American Eclipse 2024
Paradise at Lake Buchanan was amazing. Tons of space to spread out, so many things to do, and the moon completely covered up the sun on April 8th 2024!!! Music was playing when we arrived, all the amenities were in good condition, it was everything we hoped it would be. Great for family/friends/kids. I would 100% recommend a stay!

This property was great for our company getaway. There was plenty of room for everyone. We are sad that we did not truly enjoy all the outdoor activities due to the weather. Would definitely stay here again during the summer!

Great stay with family reunion.
6 families with 28 people total. Something to do for everyone even in the colder winter months. We had a blast and loved spending time with each other. Will definitely have to come back in the summer so we can participate in the lake activities

We have rented paradise resort home for friends annually gathering, such a gorgeous well maintained property, kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to prepare food, outdoor and indoor facilities was clean and well maintained.

Excellent property - 2nd time to stay
Hosted a work retreat/offsite, space was perfect, communication is excellent, onsite staff is very helpful. I look forward to renting this property again. We did not use the loft room that you can only access from the outside.

Annual Family Trip
This is the third year we have stayed at this property. We had a large group of 32 family members, ranging in ages from 2 to 70. We always have such a wonderful time together. The property is amazing with every amenity you can think of right at your fingertips. From the entertainment center to the well equipped kitchen, no detail has been overlooked. There is a lot of space to spread out and plenty of gathering spaces to hang out together as well. No one ever feels crowded. The pool and cabana area are fantastic. The owners are always very quick to respond if you should need anything at all. Everything is very clean and comfortable. We love it here. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Great, but...
Tile around pool EXTREMELY slippery with wet feet. Had 2 people fall, older person cracked ribs and had to go to hospital. Also, sprinklers run so much to keep the grass green that you have to work in when to use it to play games. One big fan in cabana not working. Otherwise, great place.

Miles R, We’re extremely sorry and sad to hear that, I wished you have notified us when accident occurred, we would have taken immediately extra precautions for entire your stay, most summer time guest walking around and lying down with oily sunscreen in the pool area, however we have laid mats all over to walk around pool area and wet floor cones.

Great friends getaway
We stayed at the paradise hill country resort with four big families and had a great time. The outdoor setup can’t be beat. There are so many places to hang out with plenty of shade. The pool stays cool even in the Texas heat and the lake is a quick walk even when it is way down. We had plenty of room without using the loft, but if you are planning on needing those beds be aware it is disconnected from the other houses without a bathroom and feels more like a closed in attic. The hosts were quick to respond and the on-site team were quick to handle any issues we had. We’re already planning to stay again next year.

Perfect place for our family reunion. The lake house was spacious enough to accommodate inside eating for all 20 of us with large seating area and commercial kitchen. Multiple options for outdoor cooking and seating. Plenty of things to do on the property for all ages.

Small updates needed
1. The house layout that were sent were not accurate 2. A bedroom with 4 queen beds in the layout had only 3 ( we specifically asked and got the updated layout which is not right) 3. The loft didn’t have a bathroom and the entrance is from outside only. The beds were small and would fit only preteens. Since the access was from outside, we didn’t feel safe to use it. There were lots of bugs and kids who slept first day had rashes. Loft was a big disappointment The ambience of the house and other amenities were good. Outside area was the best.

Intimate Wedding Vibes Perfection
I had booked this resort in advance for a small and intimate wedding I had envisioned in front of the lake this property has. While the weather didn’t cooperate, the resort did! Weather aside, the resort had the space we needed for our group of about 60 the day of the event. While we had tents for outdoors, the two buildings kept our group warm. We also had dinner in 30 degree weather (if not colder), under one of our tents and due to the quick cold snap, David ran out and bought new outdoor heaters, put them together and placed them under the tent for our group. David/Sam were amazingly responsive and there to make sure you have all your questions/needs answered! Outside of our wedding day, we had ~20-30 people on property the entire time. The scenery was amazing, and everyone had such an amazing time that will be talked about for years! The kitchens were fully stocked with pots/pans and general cooking utensils, but be sure to bring your own paper towels, aluminum foil, cling wrap, and containers for your food/left over items. Also, my brother used the smoker on site and the bbq pits for all the food we cooked/made. They provided the wood (oak), for the smoker and all the wood for the fireplace outside (where we made s’mores), to make this event just that much easier. If you BBQ the way my brother does, you know the smoker and using someone else’s can be an issue. My brother made some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had and while the chef deserves props, the smoker does too! ☺️ Everyone is now asking we spend our anniversary at this resort to actually enjoy all it has to offer outside of a crazy wedding where you barely remember the day. Everyone wants to re-create the feeling w/o the crazy wedding part. Lol! We actually absolutely plan to do this and look forward to getting back and enjoying all this amazing property has to offer!

Great for large family getaway
First of all, before anything else David the property manager/grounds keeper was awesome! He was very helpful with good advice and suggestions on things to do in the area. You don't want to loose him! Our stay was perfect for our ouroccasion, celebrating both mine and my husband's parents 50th and 51st wedding anniversaries. We definitely look forward to visiting the property hopefully in the future.

Another wonderful stay
This is our third time staying at this property and we had a wonderful time again. The lake was down this year, but there is still plenty to do on the property and around the area. We had 17 people in our group and there is plenty of room for everyone. The pool area is a great gathering place and there are indoor and outdoor options for preparing meals. The updates that have been completed since our last stay are very nice. We will definitely return to The Paradise House.

This property is huge and clean. There is a lot included and they make sure you have everything you need. I brought Kcups, towels and pool toys only to find that it was already provided by the property. The hosts are always a text away and there are some groundskeepers always on site to help with basic maintenance. This property is a bit far from Austin, but it's nice and quiet. Small Note- I think this property could be improved with an instruction binder on how to use everything (TV, Hot Tub, AirHocky, Stereos, Pool Water Features) and what light switches do what. The hosts are more than willing to stop by and show you how to use everything, but we arrived very late so a reference key would have come in handy. That being said- our entire group had an amazing time and we couldn't believe how affordable it was for everything we got and the amount of people/ cars the rental could hold. I would book again if we are in the area again.

Private Resort at the Lake
Paradise Resort is all it looks to be in the pictures and more. Our four generation family found something for everyone and we tried out all of the numerous options for day and evening. The best kitchen and coffee set up of any rental property we have been to. Cooking indoors and out was a pleasure. The pool and patio area even included a steam room and sauna alongside the heated pool and hot tub. The extensive property had a playscape for the littles and volleyball ,hoops, ping pong and corn hole for the big kids . The lakeside had a beach , chairs to relax and kayaks/paddleboat to try out . Indoors there were also lots of quality games to play , TVs to watch and amazing sound systems throughout. Comfy beds and lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for families and couples. Its definitely a place we will return to when we have a large group/family event. The property is serviced by a great property management team so you never have an issue that drags on, friendly and helpful at all times. Highly recommend this very high quality resort living for your private group !

We keep coming back for our annual gathering of friends and families!
Paradise Resort has everything we need for a comfortable, relaxing and fun getaway for our families. After staying at other properties in Central Texas for years, our expanding group of four families has returned to this wonderful location several times. We love to cook; play board games, volleyball, ping pong, and pool; and generally relax and enjoy each others' company by the pool and fire. There is plenty of space for everyone to have privacy as well as gather together. Thanks for making regular improvements and upgrades. We'll be back!

Lakeside Oasis
This property felt like an oceanside resort. The grounds are relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed basketball, fishing, canoeing, volleyball, hot tubing, hammocking, and outdoor games on the large grassy lawn. The water features were a nice touch and the outdoor speakers were fun for ambience music. The living room was big enough for our whole party to congregate. The groundskeeper was very helpful and accommodating. A great location for our family reunion. Would recommend!

Great Family Getaway!
We have 6 married children and 14 grandkids - all were comfortable staying here, having their own bedrooms/bathrooms and I loved that there was plenty of 'elbow room' for everyone to stretch out a bit. LOTS of room outside for kids and adults to roam and play. The owners were great on communication and the then property caretaker kept in constant communication to meet any of our needs while there. We are looking forward to next year!

Outside grills, smokers, private beach access to lake, multiple game/entertainment areas like volleyball/basketball/pool table/air hockey were just some of our family’s favorites! Overall experience was great and recommend it highly. There are things that need to fixed/replaced such as the dishwasher in the main house and refrigerator in house 2. I was most thankful to have an ice machine on property- made life for all of us much easier. Property has an amazing view of the lake and beautiful grounds. We would definitely stay there again.

Great property, 4th visit & uprades are awesome.
We have rented this property four times over the last 7-8 years and it’s always wonderful. The new upgrades to the home make it even better! This would have been five stars all across the board but the owner and his maintenance lead were on property 7+ hours the second day of our trip fixing issues from a previous stay. While they were both great to us during our stay, it lacked the privacy we desired.

Extended Family Vacation
This property is amazing! We have a large family and some of us met for a mini reunion. We had over 30 people ages 1 to 79 and everyone had a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful and we had plenty of room both inside and out to spread out and visit. The outdoor pavilion/patio area is great for cooking, visiting, and hanging out by the pool. The kitchen and great room in the main house were perfect for family meals together. And Buchanan is a beautiful lake for boating and floating in. Everyone had a fantastic time and no one was ready to leave. David was wonderful. He was so friendly and helpful, checking in on our group to make sure we had everything we needed. We are blessed to have the property booked again for next year. Only wish we had booked for it for a little longer.

Great property, love the coffee bar, outdoor shower with body wash and shampoo was very convenient. Outdoor kitchen area could use a good cleaning but the houses were very clean, lots of towels and comfy beds.
