The auberge is located in the old. Town within easy walking distance of all the amenities. The restaurant was very good and the restaurant staff were lovely. We stayed with our little dog and it was lovely that he could be with us in the restaurant

A Gem in the Heart of the Old City
Briancon was the half way point in my hike from Chamonix to the Nice. I was searching for a place to spoil myself -- a respite to take the day off with great food, old town ambiance, and a comfortable room. Auberge de la paix delivered. It was hard to leave! I'll definitely return.

Cozy, charming hotel
Cozy hotel in the heart of the walled city of Briançon. Clean and charming room with kettle. Ask for free parking voucher at hotel for a public parking spot a 5-10 min walk away.

Quirky stopover at a gateway to the alps.
Quirky old hotel in walled old town. Not easy to find as the entrance to the town is gated and an entrance code required. Whilst it is possible to get relatively close to the hotel to drop off bags it's then quite a walk to the public car park outside of the town walls. The old town itself is quirky too but worth the effort of a walk around.

L’hôtel est situé dans vieux Briançon, très joli. Il y a pas de climatisée mais à cette élévation ce n’est presque jamais nécessaire. Le restaurant sert de bons plats. Le parking est un peu difficile. Je suis cycliste et c’est vraiment stressant de ne pas être permis à mettre mon vélo de 10.000€ dans la chambre. Je vous assure que mon vélo est plus propre que la chambre.

Excellent stay in a perfect location for visiting Briançons historic village. The hotel is in excellent condition and the restaurant should not be missed, their fondue is top notch.

Good stay in here
Good & helpful service. We were able to park the car easily even thought it was supposed to be the most busy season in there. Room was small but cozy & warm. No complaints about the cleanliness.

Great weekend
Location is great for sightseeing the old town. Would need a car if going skiing, parking was limited to 3 spaces which were full when we were there. Hotel was lovely. Typical for the area. Very comfortable room with an en-suite shower. Staff were very helpful and always available. We didn’t eat in the hotel during the evening but breakfast was good.

This property is located in a small village with no direct access to it. The parking is several 100m away and at a cost. The access to the hotel is via a cobble stone uphill climb. The hotel is very nice, old, quaint in the middle of a French village. The restaurant was not open. I stayed during a low season (end of Jan) and it was quiet except for the snow removal early in the morning. It's difficult to remove snow due to the narrow streets / walkways but it could have done during none sleep time.

Halte paisible au cœur de la cité vauban
Agréable halte au cœur de la cité vauban grâce au charme et au confort de cet hôtel. Le restaurant attenant carpe diem vaut surtout le détour : cuisine de grande qualité et service aimable. Deux petits bémols : la salle de petit déjeuner est trop petite (une partie du restaurant pourrait être utilisée) et la pancarte interdisant d’emporter des aliments du buffet est un peu cavalière à 14 euros le petit-déjeuner. On est parfois pressé par le temps ou l’appétit est encore somnolent. Il n’y a rien de mal à poursuivre dans sa chambre ou en partant.

Der Check-In war problemlos möglich. Der Parkplatz war leicht zu finden allerdings etwa 300m von der Unterkunft entfernt, nicht überwacht und für Gäste kostenlos. Das Frühstück war ok. Für den Preis aber auch nicht mehr erwartbar. Beim Check-Out ließ sich der Endpreis nicht nachvollziehen. Aufgrund der Abweichung von etwa 5 Euro auch nicht weiter tragisch. Eine Rechnung gab es nicht. Für eine Übernachtung aufgrund der Lage passabel.

Gemütliches Hotel in der Altstadt von Briançon
Das Hotel ist gemütlich, der Service sehr gut. Am Abend kann Geruch und Lärm aus dem sehr guten Restaurant stören. An der Rezeption können Gratisbillette für den Ortsbus bezogen werden.
