It seemed that it was newly renovated. It was clean and everything were well prepared, towels, Nespresso machine, kettle, even coffee bean grinder. Love it and recommended.

We're glad you enjoyed! We do our best to keep our rooms sparkling clean and up-to-date!
A really beautiful and charming property with lovely views. A bit of a steep walk up hill if you're on foot but definitely worth it! Lovely amenities including local soaps.

Thank you Lauren. We're glad you enjoyed! Yes, it is an uphill walk to get to Artisan Square...but there is also a bus that leaves from the Library located right in the cove...it only runs when the ferries unload, so unfortunately its not available more than once/hour.
Our short stay was fantastic - great room in the little village. The communication was great before our stay and helped us navigate the ferry and water taxi with ease. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Thanks for taking the time to review us Jacqueline. If there is something you think we could have done better, feel free to contact us and let us know. :)
Nice place but far too expensive considering there is no staff or anyone at all.
The restaurant wouldnt take an order 5 minutes before opening even though we were staying upstairs.

Hi Ryan, We're disappointed that you did not fully enjoy your experience with us. We are a small operation and a self-check-in location, so there is generally no need for a 24/7 office, although we are usually around the property if anyone needs anything....and don't live too far away. As for the restaurant, they are in no way affiliated with our hotel so we cannot be held accountable for your experience there. However, the staff and food there are generally excellent.
We loved this beautiful property and its views of the mountains, it was so cute!!! Such a nice location and really quiet at night. The bed and pillows were also super comfortable which is what is so important for us. We will definitely stay again, it was awesome, thank you!

Laura, your review is music to my ears! We're so glad you enjoyed and would be thrilled to have you back.:)
The property was adorable with cute little shops and cafes. We loved our stay at the Cypress Room - the view was stunning and just what we needed for a quick getaway. The hosts were kind and responsive. We would definitely stay here again and try out the different rooms.

Thank you Jennifer for an excellent review! We're so glad you enjoyed. :)
Great place to rest and enjoy a fantastic view.
Just Checkin before dark for it is pitch dark and we did not have the instruction for self Checkin emailed to us hence we ran into difficulty trying to figure out a way into our room. But once in, it was great.

Hi Nick… we’re glad you enjoyed the room. Pop With all due respect, you were emailed instructions the day before your arrival, as you can see by our messages thread is Expedia. It would have come as part of your confirmation. Artisan Square is dark after sunset, but we do have lights shining on our signage to help guests find our building. We will look into it further to make sure we are well lit enough in the future. Thanks for letting us know that was an issue for you.
This is a beautiful room with most everything and I wish I could have stayed longer. This is located in an artisan village so parking is restricted and would not be suitable for physically challenged individuals.

Thank you Brenda! We're glad you enjoyed the room. Parking in Artisan Square can be busy at times, as there are restaurants, galleries and shops that people like to visit. But in the afternoons and evenings, there is generally plenty of space. And although there are 2 hour parking signs, they are only from 9am - 5pm so overnight parking in the square is permitted. The physically challenged may also have problems with our 12 stairs leading to the main entrance, as unfortunately we do not have an elevator!
Our room had a lovely view. The cafe just down stairs was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked. We enjoyed the quiet. We were barely aware of the other tenants. Note there are many steps to get to the rooms.

John, we're so happy you enjoyed the room along with the peace & quiet. For those reading, I'd just like to clarify that there are 15 stairs to go up to get to our suites. :)
We appreciated the prompt response with any questions we had before arriving at the suite as well as the easy check in. The view was spectacular and the location was central in a safe property and neighborhood. The suite was warm clean and comfortable. We appreciated Nespresso and tea station with small fridge.

Paul, thank you for such a lovely review. We're glad you enjoyed!
Beautiful area, pleasant mini-village atmosphere around the place. We stayed during the Easter long weekend. Would have been nice for the coffee place downstairs to be open on Easter Monday.

Thank you Benoit! I agree it would be nice to have the restaurant below open on all days, however all businesses on Bowen are family run operations with the same staffing issues as is seen elsewhere. Being open 7 days/week usually means working 7 days/week and so I know they all need to make choices to spend time with their own families. :)
