The room had dirty windows the blinds had holes, the floors were so dirty in room our feet turned black. The pillows were gross and cheap, my friend sliped and fell out of shower because the floors were coated with a weird substance that made it slippery. One towel in whole room, nasty rusty refrigerator, no breakfast and coke machine broken

Friendly owners and staff. Casino is within walking distance and have casino hopper bus. Shops are close by with several restaurant's within walking distance too, beach is right across the road 😀

Very nice ole fashion place to stay , staff were helpful and nice , every now and then my husband and I need a taste of simplicity instead of the overpriced casino resorts , this place was a good choice

It was noisy with people talking loud & hanging around outside. Our ac didnt even work but they didn't cut the bill at all. We were offer a discount for the next time but i called for a room next week & none was available. Really didnt wanna go back there but i wanted to get my discount for at least one night.

The cottages. Unlike most hotels with only studio type rooms, the cottages were 3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms and full kitchen.

The place was pretty much a dump outside. I found trash and used condoms in the grassy areas when I walked around. The room was pretty bare and didn’t feel clean. The little table was sticky. The room smelled stale and was too humid and warm as it only had a small AC unit in the bathroom area. I can’t recommend this place.

I arrived at 5:30 and the front office door was locked (had to walk around windows to get someone’s attention to open the door). At first sight of my room I was initially happy with the decor. However, when opening drawers to the “desk” it was already broken. The TV/remote were not connected. Finally figured out how I could turn the TV on but the remote had no control over the TV (volume or power). The smoke detector was absent (wires hanging). The walls were coming apart at points. The bathtub and sink had stains that weren’t cleaned. The shower curtain holder was rusted and when I opened it a prior occupants used washcloth fell from it. It was supposed to be a smoking room and nothing was provided to dispose of cigarettes. The noise from the outside (wind, traffic, outside discussion was terrible and prevented rest). Coffee was only provided for a one nights stay. I left a completely day earlier because of all of this. Don’t stay here!

Edgewater was very clean and the receptionists were sweet and very helpful. The floors were a tad slippery which made stepping out the shower hard, but the bed was so comfortable; literally the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel in a long time.

The office was locked and unattended when I arrived for checkin. There was no notice on the door either. The clerk was getting an ironing board from a room & yelled across the parking lot to me that she was on her way. The number of towels was not sufficient for 2 adults. The minimum 2 bath towels, 2 wash cloths and 2 hand towels was not enough. The towels were also very low quality and very thin and not absorbent. There was not an extra blanket in the room for the bed. The table lamp was missing a lamp shade. The room overall had an outdated feel to it. The bathroom needed to have the caulking redone as it was cracked around the bathtub. And the paint in the bathroom was in need of touching up or repainting. The location of a Waffle House in the adjacent lot was very convenient for a quick bite to eat. I would consider staying here again if no other lodging was available in the area.

Out of date or nostalgic (depending on your perspective). This is not a diamond in the rough, but a "get what you pay for" property. Worked out fine for us to sleep 6 people. Easy access to HWY 90 and right by Waffle House. The cottage was clean with plenty of parking. Staff was polite but distracted. Not a luxury get away , but certainly adequate.

Location is great. Quality of the rooms is terrible. Cleanliness is terrible. Very dated. A good remodel would bring this place to where it needs to be. Who ever is doing the maintenance needs to be fired. There was some very disappointing patchwork on our ceiling and just bandaid type repairs all throughout the room. Totally sad

Knew I was taking chance not booking with a chain but wanted to support local business and that will be the last time. When we arrived I noticed I booked a smoking room instead of a non smoking, I asked if they had a non smoking available and was told no, OK my error we'll just go with it and that was the start. The bed coving didn't fit the king size bed, there was someones person calendar hanging on the wall by the way I hope Jacoby got paroled on 2/13 per the calendar. And this was just the beginning. Am not a picture taker of the rooms but this one I just had to. No, I did not go back to the office why, I was already told they were booked for the weekend and honestly the front desk person could have cared less if I did.

Wonderful stay
Our stay was wonderful. We came in town for a concert. The hotel was high occupancy but check in was quick and hassle free. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and well maintained. We had one of the balcony suites facing the Gulf. It was a nice view. Only complaint I have is that the tub did not have any form of anti slipping material. My wife had slipped and bruised her elbow getting into the tub.

AWFUL! Won’t give refund either!
Would never recommend this place! Checked in and was immediately disgusted. The room was nasty and smell bad. But I tried to overlook it all considering all we would be doing is sleeping there for the night. In town for an event and we dropped off our stuff freshened up and left. Got back to the room and all we wanted to do was go to sleep. Pull back the blankets and immediately saw tiny bugs crawling. We grabbed our stuff and immediately went to ask for a refund and leave. The guy at the front desk laughed in my face like it was a joke when I told him there were bugs in our bed and we refused to sleep in those disgusting conditions. He could not give me a refund even though we spent a total of less than 15 minutes in this disgusting room all together.
