We stayed at The Eilert Smith Hotel in Stavanger and Opus in Bergen, and although both are owned by the same group, what a world of difference in customer experience. Eilert Smith staff went out of their way to do anything they could for us. Opus was like any big hotel, made the reservations if you asked, but did not respond to any texts or messages, even though they said they were available 24/7. Staff esp one lady just seemed like she couldn’t handle even reservations efficiently or understand. Seemed to be scrambling and unsure. Anyway, just an ordinary experience. Not great or extraordinary like The Eilert Smith Hotel in Stavanger. Also breakfast at Opus was okay, not great. Quality of food just okay.
