I know the saying is “you get what you pay for” however, there are some nonnegotiables. 1. Clean Sheets. The sheets were all stained and had hairs in the made bed. 2. If you have to initial at checkin that the establishment does not allow smoking of any kind in the rooms; enforce it and if a room smells like weed after someone’s left- do your do diligence in mitigating that smell. Main elevator was broken, not an issue b/c there was another one further down the hall. At some point last night someone felt the need to spray paint/graffiti the inside of the elevator. No such thing as quiet hours, hallway was extremely loud after 11pm and “front desk” being yelled and doors being banged on at 7am.

No hot water at 8:45 or 11pm, tried again at 5am no hot water. Asked Management they said they would send maintenance. The next night again no hot water. Called and management said no maintenance technicians were available. Once again no hot water that evening or the next morning. Hotel smells like weed and cat pee. Bugs running around on ground. Trash cans outside over flowing. Elevator not working. People yelling and fighting in the middle of the night.

The bed was clean. The room was clean. I could smell marijuana all over the hotel. Even tho it’s a no smoke zone, my room smelled like the previous guest smoked. The front desk receptionist accidentally charged my card twice. 24 hrs later I’m still waiting for one of the extra charges to roll off and it significantly impacted what I was able to do on my trip to Atlanta due to financials.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with my stay at la quinta, as it was my first time with the chain. The property was fairly nice and new looking, and the staff did a good job at being attentive and responsive. I demoted a star from the property, however, because of two issues we faced during our stay. First, while it was temperate during out stay in Alpharetta, when we arrived to our room for the evening we found our AC was not responding, and the room was growing warm. Despite the later hour (it was 11pm, but we are over 40 and that's late) the wonderful front desk attendant answered quickly and got a new room right away. The second issue is that in the morning, since we tend to shower later in the morning, there wasn't any hot water in the shower. other wise I would definitely stay here again, love that I can bring my dog, love the fridge and microwave in the large spacious room, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked super well in room #2, there's a few good spots to eat and drink in walking distance, and we had a good time.

Tub stopper was broken shower would fill up during shower drain was clogged. There was never ice in the ice machine. Elevator stopped working. The hotel market was very low on food and drink products. No tv channels.

Guy at desk was extremely slow to check people in. One of the doors towards the back elevator doesn't open with the key card due to the locking mechanism being broke.
