Great friendly hotel in perfect location
A really nice hotel perfectly siutuated on the river and close to the small but pretty town of Alcoutim. Very reasonable rates and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely stay again

This is a great adult escape. Views are stunning and Alcoutim is un-tourist. Great place to do nothing or walk the hills... take a book.

An oasis of calm
We had a lovely room overlooking the Guardiana River. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The pool is beautiful and it’s so peaceful. Breakfast was good and we had lunch the goats cheese salad and the mackerel salad were both excellent. We will be back for a longer stay next time

A peaceful, relaxing spot to stay
The Hotel D'Alcoutim is a lovely place to stay, in a quiet location in a quiet town, right on the river that forms the border with Spain. From check in to breakfast the vibe is relaxed but professional. The room was perfectly clean, and even though the bathroom showed slight signs of wear and tear, everything worked, the towels were fluffy and the hot water was plentiful.

Was upgraded for 5E to a room with view of river and a balcony. This hotel was an unexpected retreat. Very clean ! Small rooms but efficient. Great powerful shower head. Only booked one night and immediately wished I’d booked more. Nice breakfast also. Really pretty little town that had much to see and all walking distance.

Modern, clean hotel. Lovely pool and water was not too cold! Bedrooms clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Breakfast ok - bit slow replenishing items. Nice walk into village with a few local restaurants. Nice and quiet compared to coastal resorts, but much warmer weather!

Very nice place to stay. Good clean swimming pool. Excellent English speaking staff. Nice and quiet. Probably should have stayed more than 1night. A few places to eat in the village which is about a 10minute walk. Good parking.

The rooms are basic, but if all you are doing is using the room to sleep & shower it is perfect. We went out of season so it was very quiet & service a little slow, but staff were friendly. Would use again

We received a very warm and professional welcome from the hotel receptionist and she provided us with a map of the town with recommendations of places to visit and restaurants/bars. This was very useful information as many places in Alcoutim are closed during the winter months. The hotel is located in a very quiet part of town with wonderful views over the river towards Spain and is within easy walking distance of the restaurants,bars,shops and tourist attractions in the town. The hotel is spotlessly clean with very pleasant bar,restaurant and lounge areas. The outside areas are well maintained and the swimming pools and tennis court are excellent. Our room was roomy,well equipped,comfortable and very clean. A buffet breakfast was available for a small extra cost (€6) and was perfectly adequate.

Recently refurbished hotel in very quiet location overlooking the river. About 10 minutes walk downhill to town, so a bit of a problem that the restaurant was not operating during our mid-November stay. We made do one night with a bar snack of soup and toastie, and the soup was good. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Hidden gem in Alcoutim
Very pleasant welcome. Hotel was clean and well presented modern and contemporary. We opted for a higher spec room which was spacious and well laid out. Fantastic location on the banks of the Guardiana river. Great fun watching those on the zip wire come over. Breakfast was €6, but had a good selection
