Location is near main thorough fair and walk to almost everything. Room dated, but matress on bedroom very comfortable.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of Alex Bay which made it very easy to walk to the shops, the park and the restaurants. It is pretty much what you'd expect from a motel - noisy neighbors, loud overhead noises, smoking outside the window, and people being inconsiderate. The front desk gentleman was nice, but not overly accommodating. By the way, there are no tissues in the room due to covid (huh??), so you may want to bring your own. But it's OK to have toilet paper in the room - go figure. Oh, and they don't enter the room during your stay at all so forget about having the bedding changed. They do put towels on the dirty chairs outside the room but you better grab them quick before it rains. They also have coffee in the morning but it's not in the room. It's on a cart outside the main office so if you want to come out in your pajamas to get coffee, you better not be self-conscious with all the people sitting outside their rooms watching you get it. The one good cable channel (HBO) had no sound and they indicated there was Cinemax but we never found it. Also the pillows were so hard my ears kept going numb. But like I said, it's what you'd expect from a motel. From now on, only AirBnb's for me.

The new owners should not have bought a motel that is located in a party town. They were rude to some of the people that were staying there and that paid good money to do so. I will not and would not recommend staying at this motel if you are going to Alexandria Bay to enjoy the nightlife. If and when I go back to that town, I will be looking at other hotels in the area, not The Ship Motel.

Comfort and clean! So close to all activities. The more $$ river view motels, patrons had to walk quite aways to town. Make sure to ask for ground floor if can’t climb stairs.

The Ship Motel is clean, cozy, and centrally located in downtown Alex Bay. The staff is friendly, the beds comfortable, and the coffee complimentary and delicious. Highly recommend for the budget-savvy traveler!!

We liked how we could walk to most areas we wanted to go to. Would be nice to have a hook in the bathroom for clothes when you go in to shower. A small microwave and coffee maker would also be a nice addition. Would stay here again.

Should attach a sign to the heater/ac that the bed spread thats against plugs the air intake. Please move bed away from unit. Musty room smell that was corrected some what after moving the bed. Post a note!

The walls and ceiling were like paper thin heard every sound and voice. There was hair on the bathroom floor behind the door. There was no microwave or coffee pot. Pillows on bed very uncomfortable.

We stayed in the room to sleep from coming back from the bar and was accused of smoking in the room and being charged 100 dollar cleaning fee!! Never again I had to spray the room down can it stunk

The property was very clean and staff was very friendly. The only thing I really had an issue with is that you could really hear other guests that were around you. It did not seem like there was any insulation in the rooms to help muffle the sounds of other guests.
