"This is the perfect place to stay if you want to be close to the Cashiers Village. It’s a precious cottage, decorated very nicely, and every thing you’d need in the kitchen. It’s has a great porch that overlooks a pretty pond. I really enjoyed the serenity made even better with 18 different birds chirping."

"We had a wonderful stay at this property! Our GPS took us in a rather funky way, so I called the host, Charlene, for help. She responded immediately and stayed on the phone with us until we pulled into the driveway. That kind of hospitality was so appreciated!The location is fantastic. It’s close to everything...restaurants, shops, and a grocery store...but the cabin itself feels secluded and peaceful. From the porch, you look out into a beautiful, dense woodland filled with moss, mushrooms, hardwood trees, and a few pines. There are homes nearby, but you wouldn’t know it from the porch.The kitchen has everything you need, and the cabin was clean and comfortable with plenty of nice seating. If I had one complaint, and I’m really being picky, it would be that I would have liked brighter lighting in the bedroom. We hiked at Gorges State Park, which is about 11 miles away, and Oconee State Park, about a 30-minute drive. There is plenty to explore in the area.I would definitely recommend this cabin, especially for couples. There is also a loft area that we didn’t use, but it would be a great space for kids. The stairs to the loft are pretty steep, though, so it may not be the best setup for toddlers. We’re already talking about when we can come back for our next stay!"

"As wonderful as the pictures reflect, this property is simply delightful. The views from the idyllic, screened-in porch are spectacular. The entire cabin is curated as thoughtfully as the selection of vinyl albums for the record player. If you want to be at the top of the hill, up in the trees, with a fire pit, outdoor grill, all the creature comforts, and a prime location to boot, book this five-star gem."

"Homeowner was very nice when we communicated with her. No problems checking in or out, and cabin was clean. But I had impression from reading that it was a one-bedroom cabin, but it had no separated bedroom. It was basically all one room with a door to bathroom. Wi-fi practically nonexistent. Main complaint is that by this photo, the Birch Cabin appears to sit right on the lake shore. It does not. To me the listing is very misleading. We specifically wanted a cabin on the lake. What we got was a cabin, the first one on the road after you turn in to the group of cabins, thst leads down to the water’s edge. you could only see the water from a distance."
