AWFUL home infested with cockroaches
I called customer service Sunday evening and let them know about an issue in the kitchen with cockroaches. I was informed that somebody would comes to the unit at 9am but call me when they were on there way. I waited at the unit until about 10am. Since I was on vacation I didn't want to spend my day waiting for someone to arrive. I never received a phone call so I assumed heading back to the unit Monday evening that the issue had been addressed. After arriving at the unit I and my guests began to get ready for our night time routine. When turning on the light in the living room we noticed more cockroaches. It was at that point that we decided it be best for everyone if we left the unit and stayed somewhere else for the remainder of our vacation. Management could refer to the locking system to confirm that the unit was empty as of 1030/1045pm on Monday June 12th. I requested a refund for Monday the 12th, Tues the 13th and Wed the 14th because of leaving the unit Monday the 12th due to a cockroach infestation that was not properly address during our stay.
The management company Vacasa is refusing to give a refund. Even though they can refer to the automatic locking door to see that we had to leave Monday night due to the infestation of cockroaches. I was not going to keep my children, who have asthma and allergies in a home with cockroaches! Nor was I going to risk the cockroaches getting into our belongings. Very unprofessional company.
