Dirty - Previous tenant left same day we arrived. Unit was not cleaned properly, if at all.
Pool Heater - Charged for pool heater, then told it would take days to heat. Our booking was only 2 days. Why charge for it? Meanwhile, husband in the background saying we needed to pay it as we had already been in pool. Um, pool is part of house?
Shower Head - Broken and would spray water all over the bathroom. We advised they ignored. Guest book showed previous guest was also ignored when he advised of the problem.
Master bath - bathtub clogged. We had to shower in standing water.
Checkin - We paid at booking, yet kept receiving messages from owner requesting payment. She blames VRBO. However, the booking and payment were under my name. She left contract under my daughter's name. This makes me question her ability to use their system efficiently.
Personal information - Multiple contracts with previous tenants personal information left on counter.
Gas and Grill - Turned grill on and the whole patio filled with smoke. She blamed previous tenants. Guess the cleaning fee isn't for cleaning?
House rules say that if the gas runs out while you are using it you are responsible to go fill it. ???? Why exactly would you pay to fill gas you didn't waste?
The house and location were good, but the upkeep and owner are not up to par. Sadly, they don't seem to believe we deserve a clean and properly kept property when we rent.
