Excellent, helpful host. Location excellent, although noisy at night if the room faces any street. Rooms have character and old world charm. Daily service. While there is not a staffed desk, I found the host there every morning and afternoon. No breakfast, but yummy and friendly places nearby.

We stayed at B&B Aquille for 7 nights. We found checkin to be easy and were greeted with a warm welcome. The owner, Massimo and I believe his son (I am so sorry to have forgotten your name!), were the most kind and thoughtful hosts. Ada, the young woman who checked is in, was delightful and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was lovely and clean with high ceilings. Beds are comfortable and rooms were maintained regularly. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay. However, I do have to mention 2 things: 1. The Aquile calls itself a B&B, but there is no breakfast service. I did book the room based on location and took it for granted that breakfast of some kind would be included. Had I checked the details more closely, I would’ve seen that this was not the case. I feel that if you call yourself a B&B, people will assume breakfast is included, so future customers need to be aware of this. We were treated to coffees and pastries on 2 occasions. Gracie mille! 2. The location is on a very busy, noisy corner of the Via di Citta, and the hustle and bustle carries on into the late evening and starts up again in the early morning. There is a LOT going on and ear plugs are a must if you choose not to drown out the noise by closing windows up and turning on the A/C. The location is fantastic if being central to everything is important to you. And of course, we acknowledge that our hosts cannot control the sounds of the city. Thank you for everything, Heather

Our stay at B&B Le Aquile was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The location couldn't be better - right next to the Campo, and one minute walk to the Duomo. The Hosts were amazing. Massimo shared his passion of Siena's history and culture with us, and gave us a special tour of ancient fresnos in his centuries old property. We appreciated his passion and his kindness. Ada was superwoman ! She helped us every day with direcions, transportation, restaurants and what to do and see in Siena. Ada is one of the best hosts we have ever had while travelling. Both of them made our six day stay in Siena very special. Highest reccomendation possible !

Basic but very comfortable room in unbeatable location steps from the Piazza and excellent restaurants. Massimo and staff are absolutely fantastic, incredibly helpful and friendly. Only downside is noise from room above and adjacent street, which at times was loud.

Overall we love Siena. The B & B had two problems 1) there is no B (breakfast) and 2) Parking/ access to is challenging to say the least.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable, although the pillows were very thin and not very soft. The location is excellent within "Old Siena".

This property is in the perfect location, if you want to be in the heart of Siena. It is 1 minute’s walk from the Piazza Del Campo, and 7 minutes from the Duomo. Step outside the front door and you are in the middle of beautiful streets, beautiful shops, wonderful history and lovely restaurants. The owners (Massimo and Andrea, father and son) are wonderful: incredibly friendly, helpful, very interesting, kind, and passionate about their beautiful city. Nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely, decorated in a traditional Tuscan style which we love. Fully air conned which you need after a day of pounding the paved streets. The bathroom was lovely too, with an AMAZING shower. When we return to Siena, we will definitely stay here again. You are made to feel so incredibly welcome. Thank you, Massimo and Andrea!

The most perfect hotel for visiting Siena!
We absolutely loved our stay at B&B l’Aquile! This is the most perfect and convenient location for touring Siena. Our room was lovely and the bed was large and so comfortable. Our host Massimo was so welcoming and kind. He gave us great tips for seeing all the important sites in Siena and also gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend B&B l’Aquile and this is the only hotel I will stay in when I return to Siena. Many thanks for the lovely accommodation!

A true gem! What a fabulous place - right in the heart of this gorgeous city. Owner was enthusiastic and very helpful with touring and eating suggestions. It will be even better when they get the breakfast going. Wish we had several more days here and will recommend to friends and family.

MUST VISIT!
Massimo (the owner) and his family who runs this hotel are incredibly kind, generous, warm, and caring. On top of that our room was absolutely gorgeous and it had frescoes on the walls from the 1300s. My wife and I visited 21 different cities over the course of 18 days and out of all of the hotels we stayed in, this was easily number one. I can't say enough about how amazing this hotel was. If you are travelling to Siena, you have to stay here!

We had an exceptional stay at Le Aquile. The hosts, Massimo and Andrea, went above and beyond to help us settle in and enjoy Siena. We received excellent dining suggestions, tips for sightseeing, and assistance in securing a taxi. The facility is charming and very comfortable. I would highly recommend Le Aquile for your visit to Siena. I hope we will be able to stay here again in the future!!

Location exactly in the middle of the best shopping,, best restaurants, and most important tourist sites. My room just happened to be a completely new renovation within a very well preserved historic building. The bathroom fixtures and bedding were all new and of the highest quality. The owner, Massimo, is on site every day and reachable by phone during off hours, and he will advise as to best restaurants, etc.

Set inside this fortress wall city of Siena, this quaint little place allows you easy access to all the sites and Il Campo. The layout, takes you back to a feel like living in the 1800’s, but with the comfort of air-conditioning. Massimo, the proprietor, is so fantastic and accommodating. He is incredibly informative and makes you feel so welcomed. Will be back!!

Amazing location. Really nice comfortable room, best shower I’ve seen in Italy. The owner, Massimo, was soooo sweet and proud of Siena and was super helpful. Sent us to great restaurants and was just a real sweetheart. I would love to go back and stay there again some time. It was me, my husband, and our little girl, and it really worked out great. We usually stay in AirB&Bs, but I’m really glad we did this instead!

Love the location, it’s like stepping into a different era...hearing the Il Campo bell ringing every hour was taking me back in time. You are in the heart of Siena, you are not allowed to park near the B&B. I recommend that you just have to be prepared to bring your luggages up and down the alley on cobblestone paths...and again because you are in the middle of everything, you also hear everything people/neighbors and delivery trucks passing by, it didn’t bother me that’s the sacrifice you have to consider to be in close proximity to Museums and Churches. The owners were very friendly and helpful, recommended places to visit and see. The room and bathroom were dainty and clean. Siena is a very beautiful place to visit, I wished we could have stayed longer.

Old world charm at best location
Perfect stay next to Il Campo. Can’t beat the location. Small family run B&B, without the breakfest at this point. Great and informative pre-stay communication. Spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable beds with crisp bed linen, attention to detail and out of the world Italian hospitality, you are welcomed here as an old, homecoming family member! It is a unique experience. Will definitely return!

Don’t miss out on a great place!
What an incredible place! Just steps from the piazza, shops and restaurants, and the hosts go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. The shower was huge, which is rare for European bathrooms! Also, they are opening more rooms soon, including rooms with original 400 year old frescos! The hosts were kind enough to show us these during our stay. It was so special.

Location is fantastic, minutes from il Campo and the Duomo, shopping and restaurants. Massimo was very friendly and helpful, gave us great restaurant recommendations. He even showed us around town, explaining the history of Siena, the famous Palio horse race in the summer, and treated us as special guests. There are currently 4 guest rooms, with 4 more to be completed soon. We would highly recommend this property.

Location in Siena is perfect for exploring this amazing town, Massimo was a fantastic host! He went out of his way to provide recommendations as well as a personalized tour of his beloved town. He also was quite proud to give us a sneak peek of the absolutely beautiful restoration / expansion underway. Highly recommend!

Great location, but.....
Amazing location. Enthusiastic owner. False advertising: there will be no breakfast for 2 months!!, because of renos. No apology, no refund, no compensation. Not good. Not right!!

Located right off Il Campo and very close to all the sites and sounds of Siena. Family operated, warm, friendly and helpful welcome. Can't wait until the new addition is finished up the stairs featuring a newly discovered 400 year old fresco.

A beautiful gracious old building steps from the main drag and very near most points of interest. We really enjoyed our stay at B&B Le Aquile. Do ask about the bathroom since ours was not connected to our room and we were disappointed about that. Three of the 4 units have their private bathroom within but we had to step into the lobby and go a few yards to enter our private bathroom. The proprietors are father and son and try very hard to make sure you are happy. Lovely people. We definitely recommend.
