Amazing short vacation!

It was amazing... The owner was extremely attentive. The food was delicious and glad we stay at the Hostal y Restaurante Villamar. Excelent option for the family and beautiful beaches to enjoy a relaxing family vacation.

Cheap and low quality:

Not on the beach: you walk 100 yards of dirt road to Playa Marsella (not a very good beach but good sunset) Room stripped down basic: mattresses have no box spring. One thin sheet on each bed in diff colors: they were like someone's old sheets. We had only 1'x1/2' window could be opened. AC lost a knob. Cold water shower only. 1st morning breakfast were one piece store-bought pancake topped w/ margarine and some scrambled eggs. Coffee only came once 2/3 cup. 2nd morning breakfast was even less. There were strict rules posted at doors and under AC: If you don't turn off AC when you left room "we will come in to turn it off". But to "respect" your privacy, no house keeping unless you booked for 3 days+. So we came back to see even trash was not removed. Good thing it didn't smell. I don't think the Mamasan and her son like "guests". Lot of smoking on her restaurant deck. We found great foods on the restaurant on the left, before you get onto the beach. Locals told us her chef owns the Hut Eatery w/ thatch roof on the right, Jalapeno Chicken was just smashed Mayo and raw jalapeno, grilled fish was not fresh...

Beach vacation

Location is great. Great view of the beach and the estuary. We went surfing everyday to the neighboring beach on Playas Marsellas about 1mile away. Great service and the food was really good.

Todo excelente !!! solo sugiero que mencionen como esta las distancias de la playa de San Juan del Sur, solo para que la gente que no conoce Nicaragua identifique que se ocupa vehiculo para llegar al hotel

Perfect hotel bij een rustig strand

Prima hotel. Zeer rustig, je kijkt op de zee en kan al het eten daar kopen. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en vlak het surfstrandje Maderas.

Wonderful hotel with great staff!

Booked for 3 days and ended up staying for 7. Staff was incredibly nice, food was great, room was wonderful and beach is secluded and beautiful. Hidden gem - highly recommend.
