We were about to go to bed and accidentally found bedbug full of blood on the pillow. It was close to midnight however we decided to leave and go find another hotel. Please be aware: we requested refund but request was denied.

Good stay
Hotel is centrally located so busy area, quite noisy but hotel provides earplugs which is great! Staff very friendly; room was ok and clean; the only issue is lack of parking for all vehicles, even for motorcycles, which was not noted on the website!

Hello, We thank you for sharing your experience and all those nice compliments. The parking des Lices is next to the hotel so it is ideal to park you car but for motorcycles and vans, you can indeed only park in the streets.

Quand un hôtel se montre attentif.
En accord avec les attendus. Prise en compte de la nécessité d'être au calme. Je recommande. Peut-etre choisir d'autres confitures car peu gouteuses. Très bien par ailleurs.

The hotel is incredibly run down. We were given the family room initially (top floor) but asked to change rooms as there was an awful sewage stench from the bathroom. Then they moved us to a room on the first floor (001) - the doors and walls were very thin and we barely slept due to the noise from the other rooms and outside. The bathroom in this room was awful too, after flushing the toilet there was a terrible smell of sewage from the pipes. Would not recommend staying.

Fine for the night
Overall, the hotel was fine for a three star. Nice they left you earplugs! Unfortunately there was a fire alarm at 0430am and we had to evacuate. This was quite scary and no explanations.

Hotel des Lices- just right for a stopover
Easy to find, easy to park. Within walking distance of the old city centre and many bars and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was fine but the area in which to consume it was small. Receptionist very friendly and helpful.

Perfect Location.
This is a typical french 3 star hotel but it is worth staying in for the location and the nearby parking Les Lices. There is tea and coffee in the room but no milk so as long as you like it black you are ok! Rooms and bathrooms are small and the lift is teeny but we were only there for one night so that was not a problem. The breakfast was the usual continental but you could boil your own eggs and make your own toast but only one person could use the salt so make sure no other tables are eating boiled eggs when you start yours!!! The location is the best thing about this hotel, next door are loads of cafes, bars and restaurants and a little further round the corner brings you to the main shopping area of Rennes.

A reasonable hotel in a good location in the centre of Rennes. Reception staff helpful and pleasant. Paid under cover cark park close by. Little atmosphere, though. The main inconvenience, especially for those who have mobility problems, is that the elevator only goes down to the first floor, and one must use the stairs to get from the ground to the first floors.There is a goods lift to the first floor, but the assistance of the staff is needed to use it, and getting luggage up the passenger lift from the first floor is made difficult by its tiny size.

We stayed here overnight (arrived late, left without breakfast) with our 4 year old and 1 year old girls. Easy and fairly cheap overnight parking was easy to find nearby, just a short walk from the hotel. Reception was friendly and helpful on arrival. Room had a good baby cot in it (as we had requested when booking) and was very quiet despite the busy eveninv outside. Comfortable beds, plenty of good linen, nice and dark with curtains drawn, small but useful mini bar. Excellent shower, nice shower gel. We couldn't find any fault - all we needed for a comfortable, hassle free overnight stay. Left without breakfast as we were heading to ferry in St Malo. (65 mins) We hope to return!

Ideal Central Location
Hotel des Lices is wonderfully situated - being close to many tourist attractions, e.g. La Mairie, le Palais de Parliament, Le Parc Thabor, good shopping areas and many lovely little 'Places' with good restaurants. All of these are within a short walking distance. The metro St. Anne is also very close, and la gare SNCF is a 20 minute walk away.

Room with a cathedral view!
The location of the hotel is ideal. Next to the best restaurants and shops. The Parc du Thabor is close too. Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful, and spoke English. Great view of the Cathédrale from the balcony. Highly recommend!!

Great location the free bus stops almost outside the hotel so very easy to get to St Michel. Good, clean, comfortable rooms. Bad service, average food at the restaurant. Would recommend the hotel but not the restaurant. Also make sure you get the code for the gate by phoning them and don't go to the tourist area.

Great hotel perfectly positioned
The hotel is very well located at the top of a busy street with lots of bars and restaurants. Great al fresco dining and the local market is held here on Sataurdays. Easy walk to shops and park. The hotel is basic but clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. Free wifi and air con in the room. Breakfast standard continental.
