This hotel is located right in the middle of a host of vineyards that span miles of the hillside, and meander from the hilltops right down to the ocean edge (this area is actually a UNESCO heritage designation due to the uniqueness of the vineyards). The view from the side of the hotel facing Lake Geneva was just stunning and rooms on this side of the hotel all had a small balcony.
Right across the street (and part of the hotel property), is an outdoor bar with seating for about 50 people that has a really nice setting with an amazing view of the lake and vineyards. Easy to spend an hour or two there, especially near sunset. Parking was plentiful and close to the hotel.
The drive to Montreaux or Lausanne is about 15 minutes and we'd highly recommend a tour of the Chateau de Chillon (a large medieval castle), which is just south of Montreaux. If you want to spend some time hopping around wine tasting, head the other direction toward Lausanne. The whole area is really nice.
Our room was very clean, and of decent size. We didn't feel crowded. Showers and toilets all worked as they're supposed to.
There is a hotel restaurant as part of the patio area across the street (it's pretty expensive), but not many other places close by to eat. This is the part of the review where I will be negative. The service there was terrible. We sat down, were handed menus, and then never saw out waiter again. After waiting for 25 minutes, we got up and left. Very disappointing.
