Harbor View Cottages-Overlooking Historic Harbor and Beach

Harbor View Cottages - (Newly Renovated, February 2022!!)

126 West Scenic Drive - East Cottage
Pass Christian, MS 39571

Overlooking the historic Pass Christian Yacht Harbor (only one of three 19th century resort harbors with Cape May and Newport being the other two) and Gulf of Mexico, this adorable Acadian cottage offers all the amenities one expects of Southern hospitality and charm. The cottage has three large bedrooms, two baths, a very large living room and kitchen plus a utility room with washer and dryer. The back yard is picket fenced and ready for your pet. Sitting on the front porch at sunset watching the boats come in the harbor melts away all tensions of the day.

The sugar white beaches stretch twenty six miles. A boat launch is across the street with trailer storage on the property. Fresh fish, oysters, crab and shrimp are for sale at the harbor on a daily basis. Charter boat fishing or fishing from the harbor gazebos (across the street) avail those interested in sport fishing.

Being in the heart of the Historic District, restaurants abound within walking distance as well as antique shops and boutiques. Historic mansions and centuries old live oak trees line Scenic Drive.

Las Vegas style casinos are minutes away in Gulfport and Biloxi and New Orleans is just an hour away. For those golfers, there are 20 PGA courses on the Coast with three being in Pass Christian: a world class Arnie Palmer couse at The Bridges, The Oaks and Pass Christian Isle.

Many wonderful events occur here on the Coast bringing in people from all over the country. The cottage is located on the Pass Christian Mardi Gras Parade route (the second largest Mardi Gras parade on the entire Gulf Coast) and we always have a huge buffet for friends and guests. St. Paul's seafood festival is in June and right down the street. Art in the Pass is a juried art show in April and Christmas in the Pass is a huge draw. But, best of all is 'Crusin the Coast'. At Harbor View you have a front row seat watching the thousands of antique cars 'crusin' between Bay St. Louis and Biloxi, These are but a few of the many festivals on the Coast.

Whether browsing the library four doors down, playing croquet in the front yard or taking your chances at the many casinos, you will find all the elements for a perfect and fun vacation at Harbour View. We look forward to pampering you.

Pets are accepted upon approval with a 75.00 non refundable pet deposit. Smoking is permitted outside only. Damage Deposits may be doubled for certain events.

This cottage was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, decorated great and had everything we needed. Location, location, location. The hosts were friendly, responsive, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The area is so peaceful. There was plenty of things to do, and great restaurants nearby. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property and these hosts.

We recently stayed at Harbor View Cottages-Overlooking Historic Harbor and Beach, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The cottage was well-appointed, providing everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We brought our two fur babies along, and they loved it just as much as we did! The location is perfect—centrally located with easy access to both the harbor and the beach, making it ideal for exploring the area. The view was stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere made for a truly memorable getaway. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Had never been to this area before and ended up booking last minute. Thought it might be too far off the beaten path, but the house and location were great! Convenient to both Gulfport and Bay St. Louis, plus Pass Christian has some awesome little shops and restaurants of its own. Easy access to nice beaches away from the crowds and tourist attractions and traffic. Live bait and boat launch right across the street.

My boys and I have been renting vacation cottages for 12 years now, and this was by far our favorite. Very clean, and well equipped, and the boys could walk to the fishing pier and beach. We loved it!

Pass Christian is a beautiful small coastal town with friendly people. The beaches aren’t crowded. The seafood in the Pass and surrounding towns is fabulous! We also loved the neat shops. Our hosts were great so friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect!!

As always, our stay was pleasant and relaxing. The location is perfect for walks or just to sit and relax on the porch viewing the harbor. Diane and Kathy are gracious hostesses who work to make the stay pleasant. Our dogs like those walks also!

We traveled to the Pass for a regatta. This was the perfect spot for getting to and from the yacht club, visiting friends and dining out. The doggies were happy and safe in the fenced in backyard. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. Made for a fun, memorable weekend.

My family and I had a great time. Cottage was lovely and exactly as described. I grew up in this town. It's wonderful to have such a lovely place to go to when I visit. The coziness of this place is so much better than a hotel room. Thanks Diane!

Don’t sleep on this golden nugget! View from the yard is beautiful! Location is great and in walking distance of several restaurants and across from a marina is very convenient. House is very roomy and clean and up to date. Perfect for 4 adults and a child. Owner was wonderful and a pleasure to meet. I told her it was our anniversary and later that day she had left us some super delicious cupcakes on our porch! Very thoughtful! Definitely will rent this unit for years to come!

The house is roomy and location great. We loved the view and being able to walk to great restaurants in minutes. What I would recommend is that the mattress in the middle bedroom be replaced and upgraded to a queen size. My brother and his wife said they didn't get a wink of sleep because they felt every spring in the existing mattress. Other than that, perfect stay.

Harbour Oaks was the most perfect vacation location! Comfortable cottage with charming décor that made us want to let this be a permanent get-a-way! Several times a year. The view was beautiful and the location was close to downtown, beach, and harbor. The gracious hostess made us feel so at home. Had cookies waiting for us on the kitchen table, and let us know anything we needed was a call away. Who could ask for anything more...Well, maybe a longer stay.. Thanks for a wonderful week!

We enjoyed this spacious home with our two kids very much. The home was clean and had lots of room to spread out unlike a hotel. The beds were very soft and comfy. The house felt safe and was ideally located around services. We enjoyed bumming around the many beaches and coastal towns. Our deposit was refunded in a short few days and Diane was kind enough to let me know we had left something behind and mailed it along with our refund check. Thanks Diane.

We loved our experience in Pass Christian and would love to return. The cottage was perfect. While it was just the two of us with our pups; the house has the space for more. We could see the harbor from the front porch and several good and fun restaurants within walking distance. The library was a short block away. We ventured in to New Orleans several times as it was an easy drive to and from. Diane was able to give us reliable references for where to eat and visit in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area. As you can see, we enjoyed our month in the ‘Pass’ and hope to be a regular return renters.

We did a Monday through Friday stay with 4 children ages 3-11. Diane was a wonderful hostess. She was gracious and had lots of information on what to do in the area. The beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked. There is a fenced backyard the kids could play in when not at the beach. The front porch has a great view of the harbor and is a perfect location for an early morning coffee retreat. We had been to the beach in Pass Christian before and thought it would a great location to take kids to the beach. They had a great time, the beach was open with only few people there. Thank you Diane, we will be back.

10/10

Excellent location. Walkable to restaurants, Pass harbor, arts/farmer's market. Nice splash pad for kiddies nearby. Less traffic, more laid back than Biloxi/Gulfport beach area to the east. Plus, a little closer to New Orleans. Very amenable, very responsive hosts. Responded immediately to any questions. Hard to maintain WiFi signal in back bedroom, but fine everywhere else. Capable of streaming multiple devices. Very clean and functional cottage layout. Note that the owners may be in residence in the cottage next door to the rental cottage. This is not intrusive at all, but, if you have multiple cars, you may want to inquire beforehand re parking situation. Some nice amenities: beach chairs, towels. Overall, all in my family, from toddler to Grandpa, were very pleased with the accommodations. Strongly recommend.

OMG! It was WONDERFUL! Diane made us feel right at home right off. The pictures and description above don't even begin to describe it. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, relaxing place, this is it! We walked to the beach every day. Playground equipment, swimming and fishing all right there. Restaurants within walking distance, beautiful park, library.....It was great! Don't forget to buy some shrimp in the harbor! We would recommend Harbour Oaks to everyone (Just be sure to leave "our week" alone! LOL) We can't wait to go back next year!

We had a wonderful time at Harbor Oaks last week. Two of the 6 days we were there, we did nothing except relax. It was nice being able to go across the street to get fresh shrimp right off the boat for Saturday night and went again to bring some home. We also spent a little time across the street at the beach. Amber, my poodle, enjoyed herself too, she wanted to come visit the big dogs so bad. The house was very clean and well stocked, Diane even told us if we need any spices to just come get some of hers--we did borrow a big pot to cook the shrimp. We went to New Orleans Sunday, only about an hour away, and spent Saturday at Ocean Springs' farmers market and taste of the city, only 30 minutes away. We were happy to see that so much of the COAST is back after the hurricane. We are looking forward to enjoying Diane hospitality again soon. Only thing we found the might need attention is a blind or shade in the front bedroom--lights from the marina are really bright all night.
