The place was nice overall. The biggest issue we had was the place reeked of paint when we arrived. It was so bad it was giving us all headaches. We had to open up the windows, turn on the fireplace and light candles to get rid of the smell. The good news was by the next morning the smell wasn’t there anymore and didn’t come back (property manager said the place was painted a couple weeks ago). As others mentioned, the floors creaked but that didn’t bother us as was expected. The street noise didn’t bother us too much either as had windows open too (though there is one bedroom of the 4 where the only windows that can open are on street and that bedroom is louder). The floor plan was a little strange as it was an old house, but it was perfectly fine as the place was clean, big, and the kitchen and bathrooms were updated which was great. The place was also in an excellent location. One thing to note is the rooms get super hot at night so we had to turn the heat way down and open windows. Once we got the hang of what to do it wasn’t a problem. Also, 2 of the beds are on metal headboards and have the wheel rollers. They squeak everytime you move which was kinda annoying. The other 2 beds had wooden headboards and were much better. Overall, it was a good stay as we wanted the space and location and thus it fit our needs well. We’d stay again.
