Sleep Accommodations not Accurate
The property was neat and clean and the property manager and maintenance gentlemen were great. However, the property said it could sleep 6. To be fair, there were 2 pull out couches, a nice king size bed and a very short loft with an 180 degree ladder and extremely small mat to sleep on. You could not open one (let alone both) of the sleeper couches without moving practically all living room furniture and reducing the floor space to practically nothing. Very unsafe if you needed to get out of the living / kitchen area in a hurry.

Treehouse Getaway
The treehouse is in a fantastic location where it's easy to reach but makes you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The property itself is just as described. The AC works great for those summer stays. We took advantage of the fire pit and hot tub. Both were easy to use. The kitchen was adequate, but would hard to use for real baking due to a lack of measuring instruments. The house runs on a septic tank of course, so just be ready to wash your dishes and keep all of the food out of the drain. Easy! Evidently a long-haired white dog had visited the property just prior to our visit. Unfortunately, the hair was still on the couches and floor when we arrived which was disappointing. Obviously, the house is in the woods. That's why we picked it! That can lead to difficulties in keeping critters out. There was evidence of mice having been in the loft. We never saw any mice ourselves, but my son wasn't willing to spend any time in the loft after he saw that, despite it being something he was really excited about. I've reached out to the property owner upon our return home, and they assure me that they are quickly and aggressively addressing the situation.

Awesome! Cozy!
This little hideaway was so fantastic. Exactly what we were looking for. Beds were comfy. Hot tub was a major plus after a long day of hiking. My kids really enjoyed the fires at night. 10/10 would go again!

Great get away for a few days
This was our third time here. We’ve stayed in all three houses. Each one is perfect . We’ll be back for a fourth time I’m sure. Neighbors in hummingbird treehouse were really loud with there music. I think people need to realize you seem to be deep in woods but you still have neighbors even tho you can’t see them!. And a snake kept me from getting in the car to leave. But then again. We were in the woods! Gotta love all parts of nature. He finally moved on snd so did we!

Couldn't ask for anything better
We had an great time. Management answered any and all questions quickly. Property was beautiful. Close to a lot of places, yet feels like you are in the woods alone and away from everyone. Cabin was clean and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be a return customer.

Highly recommend
A great place to stay! Very clean and cozy with all the comforts of home. Lots of amenities! We really enjoyed the covered porch and hot tub. Plenty of places to hike in the area. Cute little shops in town too. Not too far from Chattanooga which was a great place to go. Clean and lots to do in the downtown area. Very enjoyable all the way around

Treehouse was very clean,just right for the two of us.it was private event hough it's closer than I thought it would be to the surrounding cabins. There was ongoing construction, which was a nuisance, but they are building more cabins

Peaceful and Private
Though we are alumni of Sewanee, we were completely unfamiliar with the area in which the house was located. While you can see another cabin within short distance of this one, it feels private as it is nestled in among the trees. We enjoyed the quietness of this location with the only sounds being the wind blowing through the trees and the birds. The best part of this stay had to be the beds. They were all super comfortable. In fact, I, who am a notoriously bad sleeper, slept undisturbed each night. We also loved using the back porch as a place to gather and enjoy the outdoors. We will definitely rent this again when visiting Sewanee.

Monteagle Mountains are the Best
This was our first time in the Eagle and we loved it. The weather was perfect and we only wish we had more than a weekend there! Perfect getaway for the family!

Overall it was a nice place to stay. The beds are very comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful. The area is nice and peaceful. The shower is amazing! The only negative was that the door code did not work when we arrived. We had to contact someone about that. They responded promptly with a different code that worked. Also, we found a plate of cooked bacon that was left in the microwave.

We were so excited for a wonderful stay in a beautiful treehouse. We made the best of it, but were disappointed. Did not look like the place had been vacuumed in a while. We had to have something on our feet the whole time because there were crumbs and dirt everywhere. The garbage can had not been emptied and smelled. The dishes were not clean. Glad I brought some of my own. Also, the shower was lukewarm water at best... All the sinks got hot water, but not the shower where you needed it the most. We also had towels left with stains on them and sheets on the bed that were yellowed. Such a neat area, but we were really bummed by our experience...

Quiet place, quiet town.
Bye far my family’s favorite vacation . The cabin was perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit very much. Went hiking both days we were there , and the trails in the area are breath taking. And we seen lots of deer. Small town but had everything we needed . Will be back for sure !

Great Fall Getaway!
Quite peaceful cabin that has everything you need in a rental. Just bring food & beverages! Pet friendly is a plus too! New comfortable bed and some updating since last visit. Shower doors another great addition! Affordable, clean and the hot tub on deck was perfect. New chairs around fire pit made it our weekend in fall foliage, an awesome weekend trip! Thanks!

We were amazed at the outdoor lights when we arrived. The walkway to the cabin is beautiful however we had issues with the door lock not accepting our access code. Once we were able to get inside we loved the looks and the back porch! This is a great relaxing getaway for couples if you’re into nature or going to the Caverns for a show. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would like for the cleaning crew to step it up a little as the dishes provided were not clean and there was a used tissue in the reading loft.

Relaxing Treehouse Stay
We had a great and really relaxing time. Host was responsive to messages. Check in and check out couldn’t be easier. There is a short walk along a gravel path from the parking area to the cabin. Location feels remote, but the grocery and drug store are only 10 minutes away. We only had 3 adults in our group, and we would have been cramped with 6. That being said, I think we could have made it work. Pictures on the website were accurate, and the hot tub and fire pit were a huge plus.

Amazing Communication - Will be back!
We have stayed in one of the other cabins in prior years and was definitely sad to hear Sheila & her husband sold the properties, BUT pleasantly surprised at the quick responses and accommodations of the new owners! Scott and Matt were amazing! Once they found out we were on our honeymoon, Matt personally delivered a bottle of wine w/glasses! There was a slight delay in checking in due to new a/c units being installed (which will freeze u out 😋), but Scott was on it and gifted us via Venmo with 💰 for a nice dinner in return for the small wait in time. Excited to hear about all the new updates coming soon! And we will definitely be back soon!

Great Little Getaway
We were looking for a cozy treehouse in the woods that also had a hot tub and adequate lounging area outside. This fit the bill! It's super cute and a great place to relax and get away! It's also close to the hiking spots we had on our agenda, mainly South Cumberland State park.

The Eagle Treehouse was amazing. My husband and I had a wonderful time. We came to town for a show at The Caverns. Also fantastic. We enjoyed more of the city than we thought. We will stay again when we see another show. The treehouse has ALL you need. Even a towel warmer. My favorite was sitting on the deck drinking my coffee listening to the birds and the leaves in the wind. The hot tub is so relaxing and super clean. I just can’t say enough. We will stay again.

Set Your Expectations Accordingly
Arrived to a dirty cabin with a busted toilet seat. Called the number posted throughout the cabin to discover it belonged to the previous owner who sold the cabins some time ago. Called new owner, no answer. Tracked down another number from the VRBO listing and got someone to help. We purchased a new toilet seat, and screwdriver to try and fix it ourselves but the old bolts wouldn’t come off. Eventually the manager/housekeeper had to come with bolt cutters to get it off. The rugs looked like they hadn’t seen a vacuum cleaner in months, bath towels smelled like mildew and there was a used wadded up wash cloth in the shower. The kitchen sink had old stains and hadn’t been scrubbed in who knows how long. The coffeemaker was cruddy too, so we didn’t bother making any there. We were glad we only had to stay for two nights. It was a lousy way to start our vacation and in hindsight the pictures online made it look nicer than it is. The lady that manages the property offered to give us back our money for the purchase of the toilet seat, but it wasn’t worth the hassle to save the $10. No offer was extended to compensate us for the filth and hassle we went through. We won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Keep looking for other places or consider driving to Chattanooga to stay in a hotel. My guess is the photos online were posted by the previous owner who took better care of things. Also, the parking spot for this cabin is off the main road, so you won’t be able to see your car from the cabin. Some of the houses in the area were a little sketchy, so we were nervous about not being able to have eyes on the car during our stay.

19 Year Anniversary stay
We really enjoyed the Eagle's Nest treehouse. This was exactly what we were looking for to get away from our busy schedules to a nice, quiet, outdoorsy setting. The treehouse was perfect with the Eagle's nest loft we could sleep or read in and the hot tub outside was a perfect place to wind down. Plenty of local attractions to go see for a couple days. We visited South Cumberland State Park, Foster Falls, Sewanee, Sewanee Natural Bridge, and the Caverns entertainment venue. Overall, this was a very relaxing trip to Monteagle and the treehouse hideaway.

Weekend bow shoot
Myself and 2 girlfriends had stayed here two years ago, and when my husband and I decided to come to a bow shoot at circle E ranch I decided to try to get the treehouse. We enjoyed every minute. We grilled while there and enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of shooting, walking up and down the mountain. The house is very clean, secluded and has everything you need. We will definitely be back next year.

A Great Stay!!!
This is my first time in this cabin, but my third time staying with this host (in an adjacent cabin). As always the cabin was well-appointed and cozy. It was a perfect place to recover from spending the first night at a concert at the nearby "The Caverns" venue. I can also definitely see how I might enjoy a quick winter getaway here and never even leave the property. We'll be back whwnever we find ourselves

Great Stay
We had a great time and Sheila is very responsive for questions. We came for a concert at The Caverns and hiking. This was a great place to relax when not hiking. The space was great. We enjoyed the hot tub a couple times and loved the shower. The bed is a bit squeaky when you move around. It would have been helpful to have a few more spots to hang towels in the bathroom.

Great Getaway Spot
We love this area and Sheila is a wonderful host. The property is beautiful and tucked away enough to feel secluded but close to the highway and local restaurants and shopping. The cabin itself is nice and has a fully stocked kitchen. We loved the fire pit area and hot tub. This was our third visit and we will definitely be back!

Cozy cabin stay
Great rustic cabin in harmony with the location. Creatively decorated and designed. Just minutes off the interstate yet you really felt in the woods. Owners are on site/nearby if you need anything. Great hiking nearby. Wish we had stayed another day or two.
