What I liked about this motel was the personalized service and friendliness that you can only get in a family-run business. We realized we needed a toaster for our bagels in the morning, and they lent us one from their own kitchen!

Toilet was not working properly alerted the front desk, and it was not fixed. Floor was dirty, room was not cleaned for any of the 3 nights we stayed, and we requested after the first day it was not cleaned. This place felt like Motel 6.

We had to change room 10 minutes in because the toilet wasn’t working and the room smelled like cigarette. The second day the key card wasn’t working anymore for our room and we had to wait at the counter because the owner was watching tv in the back without paying attention to the reception. Also the mattress and the shower curtain were full of spots and mold.

I enjoyed my stay. The woman who checked me in was pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and newly refurbished. The only criticism I have is that the sign in front is somewhat 'discrete' and I passed the property before having to find a place I could make a U turn and figure out where I had gone wrong.....maybe some new, bright paint on the sign would help.

Room was large enough for two people. Small dresser could not be utilized as the ac/heater unit blocked the drawers from opening. Bathroom was large, lots of hot water. No sign in the room to decline housekeeping. I'm sure the front desk would have provided one if asked.

This is a very important old run down property. The sheets and towels had stains. Trim and soap dispensers were falling off the walls in the bathroom.

I had gone out to dinner immediately after checking in to my room. I returned to my room late in the evening and noticed that one corner of the room was obscenely dirty. No one was at the front desk to speak to about the issue upon my checkout in the morning

Not well kept at all, especially for the price. The fridge was broken the whole time- first it froze everything, then it was completely off with flies coming out, then after two days of us hounding them they finally “fixed” it which meant getting it right back to freezer levels again. We were there for six days, and we were told they would replace the fridge “tomorrow” essentially the whole time, until we stopped asking. The sink in the bathroom got backed up very easily. The cleaning done between guests was minimal, at best, and the floors left our socks dirty from the first day. This is not to mention the overall dinginess of the room- scuffs on the walls and furniture, stains on the shower curtain, hair from past guests We weren’t given a fitted sheet at all, just two regular ones, and due to the mismatched size we woke up multiple times to a discolored mattress protector because the sheets moved in the night. Not nearly enough parking for the number of rooms, and the building itself is run down (the deck above the entrance seems to be sloping-we did not risk standing out there). Didn’t even try with the coffee maker, as it looked disgusting and I didn’t want to drink anything made in that room. Other reviews online have mentioned roaches and bed bugs, which was luckily not our experience but is not at all surprising considering the overflowing garbage in the entry and fly colony that came with it. Every day we stayed here we regretted not going to the Holiday Inn nearby.

First room I checked into has an AC unit that screeched and a bathroom covered in mold. Second room he let me in had a beeping fire alarm right outside plus no working key. The man at the front desk told me I would have to come ask him to let me in every time I left. Third room was the best of the three, until I noticed an adult bedbug on my mom’s pillow. I looked on my bed and immediately saw a baby bedbug too. We brought them to the front desk and asked for a refund as we were clearly not going to stay at a hotel with bedbugs. He said he would refund me but that hasn't been the case so far. Spend a few dollars extra and stay at the Holiday Inn across the street.

We found this place easily. It was nice and close to the things we wanted to do . We liked the fridge and microwave. Not a huge room but it was just what we needed for our stay . For light sleepers putting the fan on in the unit covered any traffic noise .

For the price it’s just fine but no soap? I’m too lazy to get some but it sure would be nice! Right? Right! I came to Marin to see a friend so it’s fine and super convenient for Mill Valley. Last night I stayed at Acqua and that was great but much more $ I will definitely come here again because of the inexperience price. The people who work here are very friendly and it’s a pleasure talking with them. They sped up the cleaning for my check in which was great. I’m on the first floor so you hear everything from above. I recommend asking for a room on the second floor as it’s more quiet. I’m perfectly satisfied and I go to a lot of motels. I recommend it for a short stay. No frills but Yayyy it’s in Marin County.

Cute hotel overall, we enjoyed our stay. Wash machine and dryer were outside, $4 to use each machine which I thought was steep. Property overall was dirty, overflowing garbage cans. A bit difficult to get in and out of the parking lot due to the very busy road it’s on. Vegetation could be cut back to make it easier and safer to get out of the lot. Noisy traffic at night being so close to the road.

Perfect location, great price.
The price and location were perfect, while an older building design it looks like they just refreshed everything, new fixtures, tv, linens, tile, floors, etc. Heater kept the room warm, plenty of hot water. Only downside is that you might have to wait or be aggressive when turning into the hotel lot when traffic is busy. An opening always comes up within a minute, but you must turn left without a light from a middle turn lane.

My room was next to a room with a drug dealer. People in and out all day and night. They didn’t give me back my ID at check in and said they didn’t have it when I went back in to get it. Then called and said they found it in the room on the desk after I was long gone … no way. Then wouldn’t send it to me.

Traveled with another couple to catch a Jackie Greene show in Mill Valley. The trip was amazing other than our experience at Muir Woods Lodge. Our room was less than desirable and pur tv didnt work. Its a good thing we didnt spend much time there. We were very disappointed to say the least.
