The good: -Great location. Very quick walk to the beach. -Nice breakfast provided. They have chocolate croissants, normal croissants, bagels, blueberry muffins, chocolate muffins, flake cereal, granola, milk, orange juice, and coffee. -The staff, especially the breakfast attendant, were nice people. If we asked for anything (towels, garbage can, bug spray), they provided it. The bad: -BUGS. In our first room, there were a lot of bugs, and a variety of them. Small bugs, medium-sized bugs. They were crawling around and inside the coffee maker and sink. When we were moved to another room, we made sure to spray the corners like crazy. And in our second room, there were a couple spiders. And at one point, there was a roach in the bathroom shower. -The sink in our first room had been partially filled, and the drain stopper was placed. We, the guests, shouldn't have to put our hand into the water to remove the drain stopper ourselves. The hotel staff should have cleaned that. -With the bathroom door, you can easily lock yourself out. At first, I thought I had closed and locked the bathroom door, but because it was a bit warped, the door was loose and had opened slightly. As I was experimenting with the door, I accidentally locked and shut the door behind me. We needed a custodian to unlock it for us. -No garbage can in our first room, and only one small garbage can in the bathroom in our second room. We had to ask for a garbage can. -Shower design was weird.

Hotel is decent. Came down for concert, 1 night. Not much in the area by way of restaurants or bars not in the larger hotels. We didn’t eat before a concert in SoBe, big mistake, no food up here later despite room service advertised. Basic, ok for short stay.

Room has a strong smell. I’m not sure if it’s from what they use to clean the rooms. The carpet smells. The water in the sink doesn’t drain. No parking whatever so ever. Not even for a fee. There’s parking in the front . They let whomever they want park there. I had to go somewhere else to pay $45 per day for parking and walked back to the hotel. There’s a resort fee for nothing. Not even a microwave or small fridge in the room. I’m not sure what the resort fee is for. There’s bugs on the bed. I took a video with time and location. I travel to Miami a lot for work and I was flabbergasted by this hotel.

Pretty good for the price
The location was perfect and very close to the beach but it was a bit noisy given the proximity to the street. The bathroom was a bit tight but the room was fairly spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast exceeded expectations between the chocolate croissants and lattes.

Great place if somewhere to sleep is all you are looking for in Miami. Staff are really polite & helpful and the accommodation is very clean and spacious. Would stay again.

Pros: Great location in mid beach. Very short walk to beach and hotel provided beach towels and a beach chair & umbrella voucher. Easy access to trolley line which is free to use daily and very convenient to explore Miami Beach. Room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel provided a great continental breakfast which included a variety of options, bagels, muffins, croissants, cereal, fruit, coffee & juice. Overall would definitely stay here again. Cons: overwhelming amount of fragrance in hotel lobby (which at the end of the day we spent very little time in the lobby, checking in & out and grabbing breakfast in the morning). No blanket on the bed or in the room (also not a huge problem, the front desk gave us one upon request).

Had a good experience at this hotel. Beach is one block away, they provide beach towels and chairs, room is as shown in pictures, and place was clean. Breakfast is included, but there are not very many options. Wish the place would have had a bar and pool, but you get what you pay for. Overall, it was great for a vacation if you aren’t spending all your time at the hotel.

Parking is a challenge. You have to use parking around the area which is densely populated. There is a garage up the street that charges $45.

We had a great stay at the hotel. It had a nice vibe, a nice room and the staff was very helpful. The price was right and we would not hesitate to stay there again. Just a very short walk to the beach. We arrived early and they accommodated us with early check in.

Very strong cleaning odor in room - I had to leave the window open all night or else the smell was overpowering. While I appreciate that they cleaned, the smell was almost unbearable.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, morning breakfast was limited but tasty. Went to bed (late) to find that we didn't have any blankets - just sheets. Not a whole lot around the property to walk to for eating/shopping.

So I never made it to FL. Upon check in at the airport I was informed that my Spirit flight 3120 was delayed for an hour and 15 minutes. Okay, things happen. Then the flight was announced to be departing at 10:30pm. So had the flight left, I would have been delayed for 3 hours. At 10:15 pm an announcement was made that boarding would begin shortly. Then 15 minutes later, the flight was canceled. I was rebooked for Sat. night at 8:45pm, at 8:30 announcement about boarding to begin shortly. Then the flight is announced to be delayed until 10pm, then at 9:20 pm the flight is canceled. Through all of this chaos, The L hotel was completely understanding, they noted the problems I was having and arranged that I could check in during the middle of the night at any time when I arrived. After the flight was canceled on Sat. and I could no longer make it to FL, the L even agreed to refund me one night stay. They were professional, courteous, and obviously care about their customers. Unlike Spirit air. I would love to use Orbitz again for another trip to FL next month, some compensation would be appreciated. Please accommodate me in any way possible. Please be advised that Spirit airlines does not care about their passengers. All of the FL flights had issues on Friday and Saturday. Thank you for any consideration

This hotel is perfect for what it is. It’s a boutique hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable. The rooms are cold- which I loved. Would recommend asking for another blanket which they provide. It’s not a 5 star, if that’s what you’re looking for, you can pay $500/night. But for what you pay for, I was very happy. My mom loved the beds! They are very comfortable

Online it looks big is actually a quaint, quirky hotel set on a corner. The decor is perfect for a girls trip & was very quiet during our stay. Staff were friendly & knowledgeable about the area. Complimentary breakfast was served in cute boxes and the coffee was great.

Great hotel! Loved that we were able to get beach chairs, towels and even an umbrella! Breakfast was delicious, easy and on-the-go. Staff was extremely friendly so very helpful! Location was great, the beach was only a short 3 minute walk and not crowded at all. We had a blast at the L-Hotel! Would definitely recommend.
