I didn’t visit Manchester at all; just flew in and out from there.

When in Piccadilly and the surrounding area, you'll want to check out sights like Canal Street or Manchester Conference Centre and hop on the metro to see more the city at Picadilly Gardens Station or Mosley Street Station.
Northern Quarter is known for its popular shops, and you can see some sights in the area like Market Street and Affleck's Palace.
If you're spending some time in Gay Village, Canal Street and Alan Turing Memorial are top sights worth seeing.

Manchester was a great and very friendly place to visit and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to the UK. Plenty of shops,Pubs and restaurants where ever you walk . I am looking forward to returning with my wife to the Manchester.
We didn't stay in Manchester - only saw the airport and train station.
