Breakfast was terrible. Completely different from the pics. Beware they charge service fees separately from expedia payments. When you book through expedia, you receive an email explaining about this in a very small font with one sentence. I highly doubt anyone would get to read or even notice.

There were many areas that needed improvement. Paint was chipped in many places, The blackout shade was ragged And the shower didn’t work. No water came out of the top We were sent to another room that had not been cleaned to take showers Yes the staff was nice, but it was way over their heads. The shelf that supposed to hold the toiletries was broken off in the tile surround.

Im not a bad review person, I don’t like leaving them, and for full disclosure, we were the last ones in, but this room was not well maintained. Stained walls and pillowcases, no towels, shower was dirty. Blinds were shredded. Hooks on the wall where a picture used to be. Decent hot water and pressure, but a neglected room.

There were lots of stains on the sheets, a very thin and light blanket, there was no soap in the shower or for handwashing. The positive, no bedbugs.

There was a problem with heating and the maintenance worker couldn't get it fixed. Some heat resulted but up to par which is the reason for the three stars.

The room had stain ceilings and tape stuck to wall. Bathroom had brown/red stains on wall by toilet paper roll. Also shower was clogged . Tv didn’t work right away. Had a bad stagnant smell when you go in room. Walls were very thin, we could hear the people talking in room next to us. Our original reservations were canceled without our knowledge.

Hotel was decent and there was free parking. The room was clean but there was no soap. My low rating is mostly based on the $110 deposit that was not listed on expedia, and not mentioned anywhere else that had to be paid at the property.

The location was excellent to explore old town Pasadena but the cleanliness was quite lacking. Lots of stains and grime that could have easily been wiped up prior to someone staying. We weren’t expecting a nice hotel standard but it was one of the dirtier rooms I’ve stayed in. If you want a cheaper rate and aren’t going to be in the room much, then go for it.

Fair place to stay on a budget but be warned, they have a sign on the front desk stating they have a daily service charge which is not listed on booking sites. I believe it was $10. Another optional fee is above ground parking, which was $5. Underground parking is included.

Very Impressed with customer service
I had a pleasant 2 day stay. It is a basic but clean and conveniently-located hotel at a very fair price. I did have a problem with a leaking sink in my room. I was naturally upset and spoke with Ruth at the front desk. I was very impressed with her responsiveness and refund for part of my stay, due to the inconvenience. They did the right thing and I won’t hesitate to stay there again when visiting Pasadena.

The first room had not been cleaned when we open the door they charged us $100 deposit on top of the booking fee in the $10 membership. The breakfast in the morning was nonexistent. Shower curtain had stains on it. Main light did not go on all the way. The room kind of smelled like smoke even that was a non-smoking room.

I had such a mixed experience so I’ll split into good and bad. Bad: Upon entering the room we were greeted to a filthy floor with dirt and bits of who knows what all over the place like it was completely forgotten. In the wardrobe there was hair in the top shelf and the bottom of it. My partner found hair on the pillows as well. Every surface had stains or some kind of ick on it. The show was in a state of unfinished? The grout was smeared all over the walls and there was unfinished painting on the walls ceilings. We felt it was so dirty we opted to not eat in the room. The black out shade only partly went down because it was broken. Good: I have terrible back problems so beds aren’t usually an issue for me but these beds were AMAZING. I swear it felt like my Purple™️ Mattress, I was pleasantly surprised and slept great. When we asked for them to clean the floors while we went out they did so promptly and rather well, don’t know why it wasn’t originally done. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very impressive, we were there Sat-Sun when they have a hot breakfast. They had eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. Plus the usually things you see with a variety of beverages, amazing really. No other hotel I’ve been to in my many years of traveling has anything like it. It was such a mix feeling about it. If they could finish their repairs/reno and step up the cleanliness, we would come back but for now we might look elsewhere to stay.

Tony the desk clerk was helpful, kind and professional. His courtesy enhanced our otherwise dreadful experience. Breakfast was awful. One yogurt was the only item left besides bread and mini muffins.Towels were in short supply and we had no maid service. This was during the Rose Bowl parade so the room was insanely high priced for the value received.
