Front desk staff very friendly and helpful especially Odysseus and Katherine! Breakfast was good - eggs, bacon, breads, yogurt, dried fruit, and room had a terrace view of the neighborhood. Walk to Syntagma Square was a bit too far for these two seniors, but there was a bus stop about two short blocks away that made it easy to get to the square and connect to other bus/tram/metro lines to get to other attractions. Staff arranged for a taxi to the airport since we were departing early, and made us a nice breakfast to go.

When arriving from the airport the entrance to Monastic initially was not readily apparent and somewhat inconvenient to move the luggage, so initially we thought we had made a big mistake with this booking. But once the door opens things changed quickly and with the assistance of the friendly and helpful stuff were shown our room: A large "Studio Apartment", great view, nice bath, kitchenette and any modern amenities one can imagine with a welcome basket. Staff showed us the roof terrace making the view of the Acropolis even better; Nearly all sites in 15 minutes walking distance; a place for couples who want to experience Athen; No, the Monastic doesn't have a common breakfast area or a bar but there are an ample number for every taste in close proximity.

Stayed 4 nights here from May 16-20. Staff were friendly, helpful and kind.
Room was spaciousness, clean and was servcied daily.
Breakfast was a bit limited for options though. Its pretty much the same basic things which can get boring.
View of acropolis at night on the rooftop restaurant was amazjng. Staff was kind enough to let me take as many pictures as i wanted, and even lowered the glass so there wasnt a reflectio jssue.
Location is very close to acropolis, plaka and acropolis museum you can walk there in 15-20 mins. If you want to go to monistiraki I suggest you take the subway. Its 3 stops and about 15 mins.
The area has lots of different dining options.
The not so good things are
Room temp was never as cool as i wanted it to bem you set it for 19 but it never goes below 23.
Shower temp fluctuates sometimes
Road noise is quite loud. You can hear traffic throughout the night
Overall, i would still stay here again.
