The Hallstatt Hideaway is member of National Geographic Travellers Luxury Collection because of its auhentecy. We are no hotel as you know it and find it anywhere. This is a very typical Austrian baroque buliding. And to answer about breakfast: we buy all ingedinets fresh and therefore you have to order breakfast ahead of your stay. Hope that answer will satisfy you and offer future guests an orientation :-)

Dear guest, the price is in proportion to the effort it takes to rebuild a house in this place. The house is build in 1740 and a national monument under protection. All furtniture is handcrafted or build by a designer. We got the honor to be one of only 180 hotels worldwide in the National Geographic Luxury Collection because of the uniqueness of the house and the care we take to make everything nice for our guests, if you missed anything - why didn't you ask for it. Anyone can make mistakes but we do all to offer our guests a perfect experience. To take off the shoues is mentioned in our welcome letter and it is explained that it is because the wooden staors are 300 years old and wouzld not stand it if everyone is walking on it with shoes. Advice to all gcomming up guests: please be aware that this is a monument protected and with special rules! One of its kind and really authentic. Future guests please let us know about the slow drain the moment you experience it - we come right on the spot and repair. We only call guests who arrive outside the check in time. Therefore we arsk about the time. When guests arrive late night and wonder that a small town like Hallstatt is shut down at 10pm. Dear, we send all guests detailed information about parking in Hallstatt and the special situation in Hallstatt. To all guests: park in P1 which is for overnight guests were you pay for overnight and get a shuttle. If P1 is full - just wait. Take the next available entrance. To make it very clear: parking has nothing to do with the hotel. It is not in our sphere to do anything about parking in Hallstatt. and it is not fair to Feedback us about that!

Dear Sir,we think you did not realize were you have been. This is the reason why spo many people pay such an amount of money and this is the reason why not a lot people want to live in Hallstatt and not a lot want to work there. Es tut uns aufrichtig leid, dass ihr Aufenthalt schon mit so einer negativen Erfahrung begonnen hat. Unsere Gäste sind sich zumeist im Klaren darüber, dass Hallstatt ein Bergdorf ist und der atemberaubende Blick bedeutet, dass man Treppen steigen muss. Ja Authentizität ist nicht immer das, was Menschen aus der Stadt sich erträumen. Alles muss mit der Hand getragen werden. Das wissen unsere Mitarbeiter nur zu gut. Deshalb sind Preis und Leidtung angepasst. Ein persönlicher Abholservice vom Bahnhof kann gebucht werden. Muss bitte aber auch bezahlt sein. Ältere und gebrechliche Personen holen wir selbstverständlich ab. Jüngere Menschen bitten wir in der Tat, die paar Schritte selbst zu tun. Bitte an alle zukünftigen Gäste: bitte lassen Sie uns wissen, wenn Sie alt und gebrechlich sind. Wir helfen dann sehr gerne.
