We had an early flight from KI Sawyer and checked in the evening prior. Parking was super easy and walked in. Kelly smiled and checked us in and we felt it was going to be a good stay. Everything was super clean and we felt safe. Would recommend and price to performance is excellent.

Though i had a fine time with check in over the phone i was told the room had no heat and the Temperature dropped to 35° which is dangerous for one of the guests. Upon calling the front desk my guests were frustrated with their treatment and were offered a discount which was frankly insulting. In my opinion i should not be charged.

We do apologize. The issue was not brought to my attention until this morning. As soon as we were notified, we had the problem fixed within minutes. Everyone was gracious and helpful. Meeting other guests around the fire pit was enjoyable. Nice swing set for kids too. Also close to places I wanted to go. Great decor. Beautiful flowerbed. Sheets were so soft too.

A clean and safe place to stay.

An older hotel, but well kept and very clean inside the common areas and our room. Our room was cleaned and re-stocked between our 2 night stay. I will stay here again.

It is a small mom and pop type motel. The price was higher than I would have thought. On the way up to Gwinn I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Saginaw for $120 including tax. The Motel Towne Inn was $160.

The patriotic Inn

If you get a chance to stay at the Model Town Inn do it ! My husband and I stay there and was surprised we found. The room is very patriotic red, white and blue. The bed was very comfortable. And the AC works great. The breakfast is grab and go. and they have a popcorn maker !!! we will definitely stay again

Great location to Gwinn, there is an outside spot for a fire and to sit outside. Room was very comfortable.

Except for the sink being very slow to drain, everything else was fine. We were only there for one night before we had to fly out the next morning so we didn’t take advantage of some of the amenities. But no complaints!

Our main issue was all the air and linen fresheners. If your a person with sinus or allergy issues, this is not the place for you. My sinuses closed up the second we walked into the loby. And we ended up going to the store and buying pillowcases and a blanket. The sheets had such an overwhelming floral smell, you'd think the beds were sprayed with perfume. I had to take allergy medicine both nights we were there.

I'm sorry you had allergy issues. We try to keep the hotel as fresh and clean as possible. We could have provided sheets and a blanket that we didn't use the fabric softener with.

Great Stay

This hotel was great for our stay. We took a family trip and brought our dog along. The allowed the dog, and even made accommodations to move our room to the 1st floor to help my mom get in and out.

This inn had a red, white and blue theme, quite patriot. Nice small town and it was quiet. Outside area was nice with fire pits and tables & chairs. Staff was very helpful when asking where to eat, etc.

Nice convenient hotel

Nice convenient hotel especially since market was sold out that night only didn’t care for the cushion topping on the bed was kind of hard to get in and out of bed due to the type of cushion

Basic motel, friendly service

Very friendly owner. Trouble with internet unfortunately not able to fix. Place is very friendly to ATV and snomobilers providing them towels to clean up in the entryway. Location is out of the way for the general traveler. Went there because most hotels full in Marquette and those remaining were very expensive. Model Time was basic but reasonably priced.

Very nice stay, no issues

Very nice stay in an older but decent small hotel, new owners have done a lot of updates with new beds, bedding, blinds, paint, etc. Room had mini fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and TV with cable. Everything I needed for my one night work stay. No trouble with wifi. Kindly allowed me early check-in to accommodate a work scheduling issue which was really appreciated.

They screwed up reservation. First couldn't find us, showed them our reservation. Then said they were full, scrambled to find room for us. Got in room, then came and told us double booked one party so moved into room we originally should have had. Building in poor shape. beds not very good, granola bars and yogurt breakfast. ☹☹☹

I am so sorry your visit was less than pleasant. We have recently taken over the hotel and have been working hard to improve our procedures as well as the overall condition. Due to Covid-19, There are not alot of options to provide as a pre-packaged breakfast. This hotel had never offered breakfast before, but thought it was valuable for our guests to offer something. So we opted for pre-packaged danishes, muffins, granola bars, and yogurt. The mattresses are all beauty rest mattresses that we purchased less than a month ago. I am sorry you found those to be not very good. We have also replaced all linens, towels, and comforters. If you are ever visiting our area again, I would love for you to come for a complimentary stay and give us a chance to make this terrible experience into a positive one. Thank you, Kelli and Andy
