"The home was just as advertized. It is a wonderful old farmhouse with all of the character you would expect. It reminded me of my grandparents home of which I have many fond memories. The modern appliances and convenience amenities were great, but the character of the house was the best part. My wfe and I had a very enjoyable stay. We will definitely stay again."

"My wife and I, and our kids really enjoyed this quiet and rural farm- plenty of space for the kids to roam, they loved collecting eggs from the chickens, feeding the pig and brushing the horses. Small pond is great for taking very young ones canoeing."

"The house is very nice and well supplied with everything we needed: beautiful porch, lots of amenities, altogether very comfortable! 5 min. from the General Store and less than 10 from the state park entrance. It was a perfect base for day hikes. The host was attentive but not intrusive."

"My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean and neat and the process of checking in and out was easy-peasy. I rated it four stars instead of five because it is remote, so unless you're sticking to cycling or activities on the nearby South Fork of the New River, you'll be driving a bit to get anywhere. Although I'm a lifelong resident of NC, I'm always discovering new places to visit, and this was a great one. I would definitely stay there again when I have more time to explore...
