Really enjoyed it, mainly as it was so quiet. Friendly staff to point me out to the town and gave me a map. Easy to walk anywhere and next to the main train station. I would stay there again.

Excellant location.
I picked this for its location. Very close to city yet easy to get around ghent. Hotel - amazing, querky and super characteristic. There is a garden offeri f you zen. There are also sports facilities. I would most definitely be returning.

Would stay again
within 10 minute walk from train station on quiet safe street. Very nice modern bedroom & bathroom. Breakfast cost 12 euros per person but was delicious and very extensive buffet. Staff was very helpful with tourist advice.

Well maintained Boutique hotel close to centre.
Well kept small hotel with lovely patio/gardens. Good quality breakfast offered although a bit pricey. Rooms in front quite noisy due to train line, ask for room in back. Large, well laid out bathroom. Can walk, plus tram to downtown about 25 minutes.

Nice stay at the Astoria...
The room (#26) was spacious! There’s fan only, no AC, which was fine as the weather was mild the week I stayed. A little far from city proper but close to the Gent ICC. Very helpful staff. Overall, a good stay and experience.

Great stay, clean & conveniently located to train
Clean, comfortable bed, nice rain shower, fridge in room, close to train station, walkable to city centre. Although this hotel is located very close to the train, I did not hear sounds from the train in my room. I stayed on the 3rd floor and wifi sucked - supposedly they got a technician to come in to examine and the city was doing upgrades to the wires...I had to be in the lobby to access continuous wifi signal.

Perfect location
Location is perfect. There are lots of restaurants and shopping close by. It’s a perfect walking distance to Anne Frank Museum. Took us about half an hour. We also walked to the “I am Amsterdam” sign from the hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly and cleanliness of the room was top notch. The staff in the dining area was also friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay in this hotel again in the future.

Don’t look any further. Book this place! We were able to check in early to drop off our luggage so we were able to grab a bite. Super clean and top notch service. My husband forgot his ring after we checked out and management emailed me before I had a chance to call them.

Very nice small hotel with a personal touch. Breakfast was excellent. Reception staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. The same cannot quite be said about the room service as the room was only made up after 3 pm in the afternoon and with a somewhat cocky attitude.

This is a lovely small hotel near Sint Pieters station and well placed to walk or hop on a tram into the city. Helpful staff, good breakfast and nice rooms. Good value and definitely recommended.

I’d happily stay again.
Easy to find and very welcoming on reception, the hotel was very clean with ample parking. It’s on a very quiet road though only a short walk to some parks or the centre, breakfast could maybe if had more choice but what they had was good. If over I’m in Ghent again I would certainly stay here again.

A nice place with the birds singing.
If you get the room facing the garden, you are lucky as you will be waken by birds singing. You are not affected by the train noice.

Was not expecting my room to be outside the reception area, rooms a bit noisy from guests coming down the stairs from the floor above, however friendly service with a limited breakfast buffet. Not impressed with value for money

Not perfect, but would stay again
Convenient to train station. Friendly staff. The walls were thin, so noise from neighbors was occasionally a problem. There was a lovely garden for enjoying a cocktail.

Really friendly & lovely clean, quiet room. Great location close to train station so perfect for day trips around the place. About a 30min walk to town centre through park and along canal. Would stay again

Came to ride the tour of flanders iconic cycling event and stayed in the Astoria. Very welcoming and friendly service lots to see and do locally. Would definitely recommend this hotel

I read a lot about the noise from the train station near to the hotel. I have heard maybe 3 to 4 trains for a time of a couple of minutes in my 3 days stay. I found that level of noise not disturbing at all. Because otherwise the hotel an the surrounding of the hotel was absolute quiet.

Boutique style hotel close to station
Room 23 in annexe to rear of building which minimized sound from railway line close by. Not intrusive though but earplugs thoughtfully left by bedside. Good sized room with small private patio. Breakfasts outstanding. Loads of pastries breads and homemade preserves and yoghurt. Very helpful staff with maps local info and sell tickets for team.

The Check-in was bizarre, we have been told to come to pay at 08.00-08.30 although we offer to pay when we were checking in. Nice breakfast, good service, nice garden. check-out was too slow! Away from the city centre.

Excellent, clean and friendly small hotel with a satisfactory but simple breakfast (fresh breads, home-made yoghurt and jams, fruit, cereal, boiled eggs and cold platter meats and cheeses)served in pleasant garden conservatory. Well placed for Gent Sant Pieters railway station and public transport hub. One tip: always ask for a room on the garden side unless you a gricer with an interest in overnight freight movements and early morning passenger flows.
