Article 1: **Definitions
1.1 **Traveller**: any person staying as part of a booking.
1.2 **Host**: the owner or manager of the property hosting the travellers.
1.3 **Premises**: space, accommodation or property made available for the stay.
Article 2: **Maximum number of Travellers**: the maximum number of Travellers.
2.1 The maximum number of travellers authorised to stay in the premises is defined as 2 travellers. This number includes adults, children and infants.
2.2 Any addition of travellers above this number is forbidden without the prior agreement of the host.
Article 3: **Exceptional requests
3.1 In exceptional circumstances, a request to increase the number of travellers may be submitted in writing to the Host at least 7 days before the date of arrival.
3.2 The Host reserves the right to accept or refuse the request depending on capacity, local regulations and availability.
Article 4: **Respect for the Premises
4.1 Travellers undertake to keep the premises clean, tidy and in good condition throughout their stay.
4.2 Disruptive activities, excessive noise and any form of damage are strictly forbidden.
Article 5: **Penalties in the event of non-compliance
5.1 Failure to comply with the limits on the number of travellers or respect for the premises will result in sanctions, which may include, but are not limited to, financial penalties, immediate eviction from the premises without refund, and/or legal proceedings.
Article 6: **Modification of the Rules** (French only)
6.1 The Host reserves the right to amend these Rules at any time. Amendments will take effect immediately after they have been communicated to travellers.
Article 7: **Acceptance of the Rules** (French only)
7.1 Booking and staying in the premises implies full acceptance of these rules by the travellers.
These rules have been drawn up to ensure the well-being of all parties and respect for the premises. All travellers are asked to act responsibly and considerately during their stay.
Article 8: Security Deposit
8.1 Deposit requirement: A security deposit is required from all travellers prior to occupancy of the premises. This deposit is intended to cover any damage, loss or infringement of these rules during the stay.
8.2 Amount : The amount of the security deposit is set at €500 and must be paid to the host no later than 15 days before the date of arrival.
8.3 Refund conditions : The security deposit will be refunded in full within [number of days after departure] days of departure, provided that no damage has been found to the premises, and that all the conditions of these rules have been complied with.
8.4 Withholdings: In the event of damage, loss or offences, part or all of the security deposit may be withheld. The host will provide a detailed inventory of fixtures and fittings and proof of the costs incurred to repair damage, replace lost items or cover additional costs arising from non-compliance with the rules.
8.5 Disputes: In the event of a disagreement over the deductions made from the security deposit, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before any legal proceedings.

**Article 9: Commitment to Eco-Responsibility and Energy Management** (in French)
9.1 **Principles of Eco-Responsibility** : Travellers undertake to adopt an eco-responsible attitude during their stay, in particular with regard to the use of heating, air conditioning and other energy-consuming equipment.
9.2 **Rational Use of Energy** : Heating and air conditioning systems must be used rationally and in an eco-responsible manner. Passengers undertake to :
- Not to exceed the recommended temperatures of 20°C in winter and 25°C in summer.
- Turn off the heating/air conditioning when they are not in the premises or when the windows are open.
- Use energy equipment only when necessary and in an efficient manner.
9.3 **Energy Footprint Reduction** : Travellers are encouraged to reduce their energy footprint by switching off lights, electronics and other equipment when not in use.
9.4 **Sanctions and Penalties**: Failure to comply with eco-responsible principles and energy management guidelines may result in financial penalties and/or other sanctions, depending on the extent of over-consumption and environmental damage observed.
9.5 **Awareness and Training**: The host undertakes to provide travellers with all the information they need to use the facilities in an eco-responsible manner and to encourage them to adopt environmentally-friendly behaviour during their stay.
This article aims to promote ecological awareness among travellers and to minimise the environmental impact associated with their stay, thus contributing to the preservation of natural resources and the fight against climate change.
