I stay here regularly enjoying this independent motel. This time the winter salt had not been swept from the sidewalks, I had no mini fridge in my room, the hot water was not hot for an evening shower and the breakfast bar was not restocked. I am sorry to report this because I have like staying here and will do it again and hope that these details are fixed next time.

We stayed there years ago and it now needs to be updated. The drapes were old fashioned and very wrinkled. The bedspreads were not large enough to cover the box springs and not attractive at all. There was no microwave in the room which was inconvenient since we got takeout for dinner and couldn’t reheat it. Breakfast was very sparse but we did get an apple that was good and we filled our to go cups with coffee. We had to wait a few minutes for the office to open for the breakfast bar. The outside of the facilities need some repairs The room seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet. There was an additional pet fee that had to be paid on site after paying our registration fee on line. We probably will not stay there again.

From the minute we checked in, the staff was so helpful and accommodating. The room was spotless and big. Although this is an older motel, you can see that it is been updated and is in the process of updating. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Ely.

It is right by a busy, noisy street. Has a small jam packed parking lot. Hard bed, not enough outlets, no coffee in the lobby until 6:30 am.

No staff available..key was left under door matt(confirmed a couple hours before arrival time by email...IF u thought to chech it) .Room was underwhelming, tv remote did not work well ..had to turn on/off manually IF you knew where to find the power button.. older facility in need of upgrades.. beds were ok.. there was staff & coffee in the morning..liked the location..easy access to area & hiway..but a let down in terms of service, lack of staff (there was none at night) and had a general but not terrible run down look to the facility.

Being Easter weekend,and a stated staff shortage , we were presented with the office that was closed when we arrived, and didn’t open at 6:30am on Sunday morning, and thus we didn’t get any breakfast. Though our stay was pleasant enough by the leaving of keycards in a good location and being notified by text message as to where to find them, the presumption that an unreliable message platform was a sufficient way to check us in was potentially dicey approach. Should the text message not arrived, my phone have been out of charge, insufficient signal to retrieve messages, all are just a few eventualities that might have made this shortfall of office staff result in our being left without a room for the night. So though this worked out, the fact that the office didn’t open on time, we got not included breakfast and therefore had to waste additional time in Ely procuring coffee and food this morning was a bit disappointing.

I like staying here when travelling to/from family visits in NE Nevada. Rooms are always clean and I have never had a problem with noise. Mexican restaurant next door is a good place to eat.

We stay here every year on our way to Elko, to the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering. It is always clean, quiet, warm, personable, and super convenient. The cost is always quite reasonable and our check in smooth. This is the best place in Ely.

Very nice overnighter.
Excellent staff. Older but updated and well maintained property. Very clean. Our room was next to busy highway and a bit noisy until traffic slowed. My biggest concern was a bit too much light coming through main window. Updated black out curtains would be great. They offer coffee, juice and some breakfast snacks in the morning that were much appreciated.

We stayed for one night, and for the price you really can't beat it. The building is old but it looks like they are renovating some parts. The breakfast was simple but good. The only problem with our room was that there was no shower curtain--like someone removed the old one and forgot to put up a new one. I forgot to tell the person at the front desk when we checked out so check room 226!

One star
Most of the rooms were unavailable due to renovation. Our room was close to the main boulevard and the road noise was so bad we barely got any sleep. There was a sewage smelloff and on. Carpet and bathroom floors were very dirty. There was no microwave in the room. The beds were uncomfortable. Watch out for the staircase. The first step is higher than standard and a tripping risk. Stafg smoked outside below our room and the smoke came right in so we could not open the windows and had to be quick coming in and out of the door to keep the smoke out.

Needs LOTS of work!’
Old hotel with some renovation. Check in was great. Morning person not so much. Beds are HARD! Cobwebs in the bathroom. Lousy “continental “ breakfast with requested milk self served from a gallon jug!! New carpet and granite counter tile were nice. Noisy too with bed frame knocking on the wall each time you turned over!!! Ugh.

The property is located on the main highway route. My criticisms: 1.) A light bulb was out in the bathroom. 2.) The pop-up in the bathroom sink was missing. 3.) The toilet set was loose--I had to tighten it by hand so that it was "stable." Yes, they classify it as free "breakfast," nothing hot or fresh. It was all packaged muffins and protein bars. Better than nothing, but not a first-class breakfast.
