Being Easter weekend,and a stated staff shortage , we were presented with the office that was closed when we arrived, and didn’t open at 6:30am on Sunday morning, and thus we didn’t get any breakfast. Though our stay was pleasant enough by the leaving of keycards in a good location and being notified by text message as to where to find them, the presumption that an unreliable message platform was a sufficient way to check us in was potentially dicey approach. Should the text message not arrived, my phone have been out of charge, insufficient signal to retrieve messages, all are just a few eventualities that might have made this shortfall of office staff result in our being left without a room for the night. So though this worked out, the fact that the office didn’t open on time, we got not included breakfast and therefore had to waste additional time in Ely procuring coffee and food this morning was a bit disappointing.
