Location was very good. Just needs a little better cleaners and a few new items - sofa and tv upgrade would make this better and although there was foam pieces they weren’t the same size as the bed. The owner is quick to respond and very pleasant

Unit should only for 2 (queen sized bed). For additional guest, only a mattress on floor was provided. Cockroaches were found in microwave and in refrigerator gasket.

I really enjoy this property. The view is astonishing! You can see both city view and ocean view. I am from U.S so not sure if I am right about this, but the price is cheap! Things that we I didn't like is the limit of people that can be in unit, it's strictly 4 people and no vistors allowed. Which I get because it's a Condo they have policies to obey. There are couple of things that are broken, the faucet was detached and the washing machine. But it didn't bother me much since like I said I think the place is cheap. So if you're looking for a cheaper stay and still get that hotel like atmosphere I recommend this place. But if you are traveling with big groups or you are expecting a visitor, I recommend to just get a hotel.

Our stay here is really great! We had so much fun with my family. The staffs are very friendly specially ms dinah who handled our reservation. The instructions are clear and understandable, she replies right away when we have concerns. Nevertheless i would rate this as 8/10. However, it would be better if they will put the cleaning fee together with the overall room rates and taxes as it might be confusing after you pay for the room. Thank you Avida highly recommended.

We have 3 categories for studio, standard, deluxe and super premium, don't choose the cheapest rate as it is standard pre-paid router up to 5mbps only, but wont lag on netflix. Choose the more expensive units, as this is fast fibr wifi, up to 50mbps. We only have 3 standard unit, this guest choose the cheapest rate. Thank you!

Owner of the unit has a different policy with the security guard .security guard has more power than the one paying the unit. Giving a you a hard time if you are bringing just one person for you to stay over night .

Nice place, convenient location. Staff was friendly. But I don't like extra charge for late check-in, which I was not notified until hours before check-in via e-mail. I really don't like their security policy that upon entrance of the building they demand you to surrender a photo id in exchange for a badge. I refused to give my only id (passport). They took my wife's passport. For me this is a very useless and insulting policy that is typically used for entering a federal prison not your residence as a guest. I know some 3rd world countries like Cuba sometimes do this. They wouldn't take a photocopy of my passport. They were already paid in full and collected a deposit. To make it worse they keep the ids (my wife's passport) within arms reach of people walking past the desk. This is an unprofessional way to handle another persons private information. I hope they will review this policy. There are many more effective methods of verifying people entering and leaving. I asked my brother-in-law who is a manager of a large security firm there and he agreed with me as well.What if another earthquake happened, how would they return my wife's passport during an evacuation of the building? Remember passports are property of the government. On a positive note the stay would have been great if I would have known this policy ahead. I would have just brought an old student id or something like that.

Current update, the security personnel were advised not to get passport copy as it is against the law. This is a miscommunication as we just had this new policy implemented. But certainly, you cannot leave your passport at the entrance, not allowed. For future guests, pls send us ahead of time so we can print ahead your id or passport copy. But still highly appreciated for giving us still a good rating, with thanks!

the room and bed are nice. only customer service is very poor..you are not allowed to bring guest inside the room, and can jusLlt meet them at lobby.. no.housekeeping in our 3 days stay even if they collected extra fee for cleaning.requested rag for toilet but to no avail.

Cleaning fees is collected upon checkin, guest requested daily housekeeping but told that as per our policy we can't do so. We are exchanging text messages for this guest and informed them ahead about the condo house rules and explained that this is not a hotel.

Security has stopped us several times despite us going in and out of the building. Unnecessarily strict. Wi-Fi slow. Won't book in this condo unit again.

STAY FAR AWAY
DO NOT STAY HERE! As someone who travels frequently, I’ve used hotels,com exclusively for the past 6 years. This by far was the worst experience ever. Hotels.com did not properly advertise the additional fees of the property. Specifically the pool fee. My wife was accosted for a pool fee which was not stated anywhere on the hotel.com website. After finally agreeing to pay the pool fee we figured we would enjoy the remainder of the 3 days left at this hotel. However, the owner of the property decided to barge into the unit after 8:00 PM unannounced regarding the issues with the pool fee. The owner of this unit also decided to show up with 5 additional people. Not sure if they were trying to intimidate, but the behavior of this “owner” was completely unacceptable and will be met with legal action. The harassment shown by the owner of this unit and the caretaker was beyond disrespectful. Fearing for our safety we quickly checked out of this horrendous situation. In regards to Hotels.com they were unwilling to provide complimentary rooms for the next two days. The fact that they did not vett this provider is irresponsible. As a third party site you are responsible for the providers of these units and you failed on every single level. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years with your company. A Better Business Bereau complaint will be filed along with a complaint to the Attorney General.

How can we address your concern if u stay anonymous?Since we are getting a lot of bookings for these condo units. Swimming pool is free to all registered guests. UNLESS, it is your guest(s) who used the pool, unregistered visitors cannot come up to the units the more use the pool facility. This has been explained prior to booking, also before checking in. Our contact nos. Are provided for in the booking email confirmation plus in the move in forms that we asked the guests to take a photo with our contact details. We didn't received any complaint on pool being charged to registered guests, just very unlikely complaint.

It's a good advantage to guests and us, unit owners that our security at Avid Towers Davao Condominium is strict. It is for our safety and security. For other guests who will book at Avida Towers Davao, to make sure to contact your host, prior to arriving, so you will be assisted properly. All you have to do is to provide the correct room/condo unit no. to the security. Meet ups are usually at the lobby either 1 or 2, where you will be allocated. Contact the host prior to your arrival. Exceptionally rude security guard at pool area. He allows families to eat and play there. Riding bikes, splashing, spraying water guns and swimming unsupervised Pool lights not turned on until 7pm so you swim in the dark. No lifeguard so good luck of you drown. All windows open wide in hotel good to help you fall out and die. Condition of hotel is poor. Cracks and damaged everywhere. Apartment dusty and nasty. Dust everywhere. Incompetent little girls give you paperwork to sign on arrival. Far too much paperwork and room didn't meet description at all. One tiny aircon for room. No soap. No toilet paper. The staff appear only to be security guards and rude ones at that. They let rich people park wherever they like and hassle white people and treat you like trash. The security man at pool only knows how to cause problems and just says no problem. Disgusting and horrible man. He makes up the rules as he wishes

Don't be anonymous if you leave a bad review. All our 45 units are provided with 1 tissue roll ready set up, PLUS 2 tissue rolls spare at the cabinet, and 1paper towel < Always as our regular set up. No BAR soap, but we provide Shampoo and Shower Gel in all our units. Upon arrival, we give a walkthrough and give guidelines for use of the Condo (as explained this is not a hotel, we do not have concierge, and we do not have a frontdesk, frontdesk is exclusively for Unit Owners and it was indicated in our move-in walkthrough, all infos shall be directed to us, we have provided you with our contact nos. in the paper that you signed, for any concerns, requests that you may have during your stay, which we didn't get any from you during your stay. Upon arrival, we gave you a swimming pool waiver, as discussed, you bring with you to be presented to pool security for a hassle free use of the said pool, by doing so, you will never have problem using the swimming pool. In fairness to the security of Avida Towers Davao, they are the finest and caring and respectful security personnel. Maybe, it was your bad day, having a bad mood and the rest of the world is bad around you.

If you want visit from your family don't use this
The room was clean but small as a shoe box. To get the extra bed out we had to put the sofa upside down, which then again prevented us from a accessing the kitchen. The pool security didn't allow all of us to use the pool, despite the fact that we all stayed in the room. Our family were not able to visit us they had to stay in the lobby we were told. All in all a bad experience. We left after one night, but we got the money back.
