Dirty linens (with hair, glitter, and fibers on them!), broken sofa sleeper(sharp metal parts!), torn & extremely OLD mattresses (no zippered liners!), stained mattresses [blood, liquid, etc.] & pillows (some without liners!), main-room TV broken, master-bed TV audio sometimes didn't work, and the whole place stinks like a weird menthol scent.
Bathroom was decent--but a bit rusty. Kitchen dishes were dirty with food crusted on some of them, coffee expired months ago. Couches and seat cushions were stained and dirty. Cleaning closet with supplies was dirty and disorganized. Lightbulbs were burnt out in many fixtures. Outdoor entry lockbox was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to open to access key--oh-- and KEY didn't even work to open the door! Front desk key didn't work either! Front desk had to give us a digital code to enter.
Patio area feels very unstable and not safe to walk on.
Internet WIFI-password was nowhere clearly posted in the room like other places--I could only find it after logging into my account with the agency connected to the rental and then search through my rental agreement until I found the WIFI password buried deeply within the fine print.
Surrounding facilities: fitness center closed for renovations, pools were filthy, and washers were out-of-order.
***Emailed the Primary Owner days before with a simple question-- NO response! Called the primary owner the moment we arrived and had trouble accessing entry--his voicemail box was FULL so I couldn't even leave a message! I didn't even bother calling the secondary owner after that! Secondary owner finally called back TWO DAYS LATER after we'd already given up on the place and got a hotel! He made excuses and apologies but it was too late!!***
On a positive note--the fridge and microwave were very clean.
The door has a lock that works from the inside. The thermostat seems new and worked fine. The internet speed was fantastic. It was very close to the beach. Parking was plentiful. Ira, at the front desk, was the most helpful person on-site.
