I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel LM. It is beautifully located and the staff is friendly and helpful. I was having a terrible time with my iPhone and the concierge let me use the hotel’s mobile phone to contact my carrier to report my difficulties. I will stay at the Hotel LM again when I am next in Cartagena.

Great location in the old town
A boutique hotel of only 7 rooms. Small rooftop pool for cooling off only. Basic and dated facilities but in good working order and clean. Staff very attentive especially Oscar the bellboy/ concierge/waiter.

Hotel LM is truly a boutique experience as there is attention to every detail. The small number of rooms and guests allow the staff to tend to every need with care. We did not take advantage of everything the hotel has to offer because we were busy exploring Cartagena but what we did experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel and it is central to everything the “ “Walled City” has to offer.

I highly recommend hotel LM. The staff at LM were super friendly. The breakfast was amazing. Our room with the jetted tub was romantic, and we were welcomed with coconut muffins, robes, and slippers. Check in and check out was a breeze. This hotel is also really private and not to mention has an outstanding view on the terrace. Loved it !!

Hotel LM created the most wonderful and relaxing environment. Their multilingual staff was incredibly accommodating. The rooftop and pool offered the relaxation that we desired. The cocktails made in house were perfect. Overall, we cannot say enough good things about our experience.

Great service put them above the others
A great, clean hotel with the most amazing, accommodating, receptive staff. There are countless beautiful hotels in Cartagena. The service puts them a step above the others. They even offered (and made) a breakfast platter for us to take to the airport because we told them we had an early flight. Location, breakfast, air conditioner- all perfect.

Perfect stay at the LM Hotel
My boyfriend and I had the most amazing trip to Cartagena and staying at the LM Hotel made it even more perfect! The room was beautiful and the roof deck pool was stunning. The service (especially Carlos!) consistently went above and beyond in every way possible to make our stay dreamy and perfect. We absolutely plan on returning!

Hotel LM is Perfect.
Fantastic boutique hotel. Great amenities, beautiful spacious rooms and a sexy rooftop terrace with a small pool. The staff and service were exceptional. You cannot find a better location in the Old City of Cartagena. Everything is within walking distance, from great restaurants like Varadero, Alquimico and Alma to fun shopping and hip neighborhoods like Getsemani. I cannot recommend Hotel LM highly enough.

Attention to Detail Needed
Hotel LM features lots of charm, especially the wonderful terrace. The staff are warm and do whatever they can to ensure your stay is enjoyable. There are some details that need to be improved, however, to make LM a luxury property. For instance, towels were only available on the terrace one of three mornings during our stay. Also, there’s no latch on the door of the bathroom on the terrace, so you must hold it closed. Additionally, the lock on our room was worn down, which made leaving and entering a struggle throughout our stay. We stayed in room #4, which only has windows onto the corridor, so we couldn’t get natural light without sacrificing privacy. Also, the courtyard which stretches across all 3 levels leads to a lot of ambient noise, which can disrupt your sleep. On the whole, we were pleased with our stay. Though, a few minor improvements would’ve taken our stay to the next level.

The hotel is beyond beautiful and the facilities and amenities in the room and around the hotel are exceptional. Our room was beautiful and luxurious. The views from the rooftop are breathtaking and the pool is the most perfect place to escape the heat in the afternoon. We stayed at LM for one night/2 days. Beyond the beauty and luxury and perfect location of the hotel itself, the staff is INCREDIBLE. Our welcome and check in was fantastic. We were travelling through Colombia and fell ill with a virus. The staff called us a doctor (twice), went out to pick up our prescriptions and made us chicken soup. They were attentive and kind and Honestly made us feel we were at home. We tried to make the most of our visit by sitting by the pool despite our illness. The staff accommoated us and even made us chicken soup for breakfast! I cannot praise this hotel and their staff enough. Will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone in Cartagena. Thank you LM!

Beautifully appointed, responsive staff
Our first time to Cartagena and likely won't be our last. Similarly it wouldn't be our last time to stay with LM. We had a Jr suite (1 of 6 rooms) on the second floor with tons of space and a cute balcony. The rooms are very nice with new furniture and tasteful art. The rooftop with Jacuzzi pool was lovely and offered a great spot to rest during the hottest part of the day. Nice enough we enjoyed their delicious ceviche and some cervezas twice in spite of being in the middle of the gastronomical delight that is cartagena. The staff was warm, generous, and eager to help with a genuine smile particularly Carlos. Loved the LM and would recommend it to anyone.

Deserving of 'five-star' status!
We had an amazing stay at Hotel LM. The staff were friendly, courteous, attentive and just a general pleasure. Breakfasts were lovely with a variety of choices including fresh juices. I think it is important to give some perspective for potential visitors to LM Hotel. I travel quite a bit (approaching 40 countries now) and have stayed at hotel/resorts all over the world, some with the renowned 'five-star' rating. At the end of these stays I often scratch my head wondering what about the place was 'five-star'. Too often these places simply thrive off of having a nice room, pool, lobby and perhaps some stellar views. What they lack however more often than not is 'five-star' staff, which makes all the difference in the world. At Hotel LM you will not be disappointed because it has all of the things that one expects from a hotel/resort with the added benefit of a fantastic staff. I will go out of my way to recommend to family and friends considering holidays in Cartagena to stay here!

What an absolute pleasant surprise this hotel was! Perfectly located right in the middle of the historic city. Staff bent over backwards to be accommodating, and the hotel itself was simply beautiful. We got the room with two "twin" beds, but in reality, it's two full beds which was a welcome surprise. If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars I would. Can't wait to go back!!

Nice hotel with some upgrades needed
The building is lovely and so are the staff. However, we lacked hot water our entire stay and were not provided information about any amenities. Free water for drinking was not included, which is odd for a luxury status hotel. Lastly, we were moved to the hotel annex across the street without warning because the hotel was oversold. Our reservation was made 6 months ago. I would not stay again.

This stay got off to a really bad start...while we had a written confirmation from Expedia...the hotel had no record of the booking and the hotel was full! Thanks very much to the hotel staff who were able to find alternative accommodation for us until there was a room at the hotel.

Exclusively within the walled city!
1st off, this has to be the best hotel within the walled city. I felt like I was a VIP at this hotel the 4 days I was there. Personal driver picked my gf and i up at the airport and all was wonderful from that point. My girlfriend and I commented on this hotel the whole time how private and exclusive this hotel is. If privacy and tranquility is what you are looking for, then this place is it! There was no menu, but no need, their world class chef's cooked up everything we requested and quality of food was great. My first breakfast there, I ordered a loaded omelette which was fantastic with fresh fruit served everyday. They even made us fresh juices of our choice from scratch everyday! I would have ordered dinner every night but I wanted to experience dining out. But really there is no need here. Staff was extremely friendly, professional and greeted me with a warm smile and genuine affection. Hotel provided me with a car service and our driver Ricardo and his associate Artist (2nd driver) was very knowledgeable about different great spots to visit outside of the walled city. We actually spent a whole day at a private beach (Blanca Playas) and had a great time jet skiing, relaxing on the beach, clear blue water by the way and eating a great seafood dinner. Highly recommended. In all my trip and stay was great for a perfect valentine's getaway. My girlfriend kept telling me how happy she was with the accommodations. I'm sending my mother here!

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and stylish. However the staff was very impersonal, rude at times, and just not nice. I had a much better experience at Ananda Hotel, where everyone was super nice, friendly, and accommodating. I made friends with everyone and spent a lot of money of best food (Carmen Restaurant), massages, drinks and I would do it again. I would have still rated the LM hotel high, but my check-out was terrible. It pretty much scared me and took a while to calm down. Please make sure to ask for the receipts and keep a copy of what you consume. At the check-in they greeted me with a nice glass of wine (I thought what a nice gesture), only later to find out they charged me for it $25,000 COL. The hotel never told me how much a glass of wine costs. The price for a sav blanc normally is $12K to $17K max. Worst part was when the hotel charged me for 2 beers I never ordered/consumed, then argued with me "if I'm sure I didn't drink it?" Basically insinuating that I am a liar. They certainly didn't have any proof. Thank gosh I didn't see a lobster order and a 2 hour massage on my bill. After paying $500 USD for two nights, will I really be lying about two beers? So rude. Also, the hotel tried to push their transportation for $45,000 when it only cost $13,000 with a taxi. I will not recommend anyone to stay there as long as they have the same staff. Louis, Miguel, Robert. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

We had a great honeymoon here! The staff was incredibly friendly and took care of us well. From our daily breakfast delivery to the room, to the music they played when we wanted to spend some time on the rooftop, service could not be beat. I had a problem with mosquito bites in the room due to our bathroom being open to the sky, but my husband did not. That resulted in me being slightly miserable, but other than that 5 stars.
