The staff here were absolutely awful. I accidentally booked the wrong dates for my hotel (1 day apart, 1 hour after booking) and they did absolutely nothing to rectify it or try and help me. Because i booked online they told me to contact expedia, so i sat in the lobby for an hour trying to get in contact with someone and they said they were waiting for the hotels response! Insanity. Finally another man (not the woman i was originally dealing with) came over and offered me a room and said we could deal this in the morning he was friendly and kind. The woman who was helping me (March 14th @ 10:30 PM) took my ID and forgot to give it back, and gave me a room key that did not work. They did not show me where the elevators were and when i asked they pointed instead of getting off their chairs and escorting me. Absolutely embarrassed this is a marriott hotel. If i could give it no stars i would.

Check in was easy. The hotel was in a good location and the suite was nicely decorated. The suite had a lot of women’s hair on the bed, floor and shower so I do question the cleanliness of the suite. The breakfast was the same everyday and the last day the eggs was cold. I would recommend providing some protein as well. The breakfast was not filling nor tasteful. The free paling was the best and the pool area was clean.

The breakfast area was very congested. Need to develop a better flow for choosing food selections, toasting station and coffee station. The milk serving containers in an ice water tray caused many spills and clean up situations for staff. Staff was friendly and tried to accommodate requests from r questions even if there was a language barrier. The beds was too firm. It didn’t have a box spring support. Breakfast was a typical Mexican continental selection. Fruit selection was good but was always in limited supply. Toasting area was too slow and needed to accommodate more than four slices. Staff cleaning pool deck were amazing. Housekeeper was amazing and made honouered our requests.

It was Christmas time. Hotel wasn't decorated at all. Not festive. Pool bar needs to open earlier to accommodate early sunbather and swimmers. Food selection very limited. Hotel doesn't take advantage of spacious pool area to offer guests some good tacos.... Vending machines are poorly stocked. Rooms and hotel were great but options for guests were poor. Also, continental breakfast is from 6 to 10am.... By 930am it was not restocked, if items were gone they wouldn't restock. 10am is 10am not 930am.

This is a very good place to stay, nice friendly staff, nice and quiet, only had problems with wifi on the 3er floor, but they fixed it fast. rooms are nice and have everything you need, (we had a suite with 2 beds) overall a good place.

I want to start by saying this property is advertised as another hotel online! We could not believe our eyes when we arrived, the pictures are NOTHING like the actual hotel. The room we were put in had a strong unbearable smell of mildew or water. We could not stay in the room too long because we became dizzy, the room was not very clean either. It smelled like the room had water damage that was painted over, so it smelled like mildew and fresh paint. When we brought this to their attention they offered to move us to a room directly below our previous room that smelled exactly the same ! We were not satisfied since the hotel name was different and the room was unbearable so we decided to leave. The staff was unprofessional and had an attitude, we were told that since we had already checked in we would have to pay for the first night and would be refunded for all other nights, as soon as we left they refused to contact us and never cancelled our reservation, Expedia could not even get the manager on the phone many different times. I have called and emailed this hotel with no answer or solution. I guess they are so money hungry they refuse to rightfully refund us. In the end we had to pay to stay at another resort as well as this one. As a tourist this hotel is not safe because any and everybody has access to enter the property to the pool, elevators and wherever else. Staff never verified anyone. I would not waste my money or time staying here if I were you. It is not worthy.

The hotel was newer and had a clean/modern design. The rooms are well designed while the internet is stable (10-15 mbps download speeds). The pool was clean, but the water was not heated and it was too cold to venture into in December. The location of the property is good as it it is walking distance to walmart, costco and the beach (less than 20ish minutes each). The Marina is much farther, but the hotel offered a shuttle to it between 8 am and noon, however, the shuttle ran sporadically and stopped running 2 days into our stay. We were given no explanation as to why. The free breakfast is nice, but spartan/minimal as the most substantial items are toast and yogurt. Our biggest complaint was that some of the staff were ill informed and that we got conflicting information on our inquires. Our overall experience was ok as for every good experience while staying there, there was a, maybe not bad, but less than ideal one to balance it out.

The suite was well equipped and very spacious. I liked that it had blackout blinds. I would have liked the water pressure in the shower to be stronger and hotter water. The refrigerator never even cooled down so we used ice from the machine to keep our drinks and food cold. Overall it was a great place and would definitely will visit again. We saw the pool was nice and looks like the restaurant was good but maybe next time. This was our second time staying here. The location was great. Oh a smart TV would have made even better, we were not able to watch Netflix and most of the channels were in Spanish and we would have liked English Channel as well.

Friendly staff. The suite we had was spacious and comfortable, with comfortable beds. The breakfast was light, but adequate. The pool was good. The internet was good. The gym was very tiny, hardly more than a small hotel room. Only real complaint was the ice machine. It is located by the elevators. It was broken the entire stay. Despite the fact that it was broken, it was left turned on and constantly flooded the entire area by the elevators. They would mop up the water two or three times a day, and put a little 10 oz cup under it to catch water. It would fill up in 5 minutes, and the floor (by the elevator) would be flooded again. We reported it several times, but nothing was done. It is the only ice machine on property, so even the restaurants didn't have ice.

No frills.. Close to thrills & the beach!!
I absolutely adored my time there. As a traveler who prefers frugal options off the beaten path, this was perfect. It’s exactly what I expected from the listing and for the price. The front desk was patient with my horrible Splanglish and very helpful with suggestions. With curfew in place, there was no liquor sold after 6pm and many places closed by 10pm, however, staff ensured I had a burger and fries after a late flight in. Towards the end of the trip, they also arranged for a Bio-Tech company to come and do my COVID-19 test poolside. They had it back within three hours prior to me heading to SJD for my flight home. Lastly, having a larger fridge, stove, dishes, sink and microwave in room was AMAZING!! The woman that cleaned my room was soooo sweet and discreet. Everyone here had amazing work ethic. The only cons I could see were minuscule: limited availability of the kitchen by the pool, towels for the pool, breakfast and vending machine options— otherwise my stay was fuego. I’ll be back!!
