Owner’s Response: “Hi Leticia, We are disheartened that the experience you recently had at La Hacienda at Ebony Haven was not a positive one. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention so that we may address and correct them. This home is part of a larger 4-acre property which is characterized by a native South Texas habitat harboring prickly vegetation as well as the critters that make their homes there. To preserve the original feel of the land and protect the wildlife, we felt it necessary to provide a waiver to allow all involved to be protected. In times of drought or even excessive rain, the surrounding field area can get dusty. Dust can collect outside in the open areas and on window sills. Our cleaning staff has been very reliable. We have had a conversation and have reinforced our expectations. The busy Summer schedule is no excuse for lack of thoroughness. We have used the same professional pest control service for several years. In between their service calls, we self-apply additional treatments which are documented in a maintenance log posted at the house. Again, we apologize for what you experienced and we would like to offer a full refund for the cleaning fee. We hope you will visit us again another time, taking advantage of all the attractions the area has to offer (South Padre Island, world-class Gladys Porter Zoo and nature preserves, SpaceX as well as a resident wild turkey right there on the property!)
