15-20 minute walk from the main train station and easy walking to many tourist areas. Room was large and comfortable. Shower door did not close all the way and we couldn’t get the water to come out of the ceiling shower head, only the hand held one. Reception is only open fairly limited hours but was easy to drop the key at check out. The area was a bit rough but I didnt feel unsafe and the security of the building was great

Even though no reception on Sunday, there is always someone available to help. Lea (sorry if misspelled) was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were updated. We got a room with a shared kitchenette, with coffee, tables, fridge, etc. -definitely recommend that option.

This was a last minute booking and I’m so glad this is the property I chose! To say I was blown away is an understatement. We were lucky enough to stay on the 5th floor in room 55 and it was HUGE! So neat and clean and has all the things I needed travelling with a 5mth old. I don’t usually review but I couldn’t pass this up. Loved it! Ask for that room if you can :)

While our room was small, we found the hotel very comfortable & clean. It was a very short walk to St. Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace & Museo Correr. Since Venice is fairly small & compact, we managed to find our way around easily & restaurants are plentiful. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet with an extensive selection of options that got our days off to a good start.

Lovely apartment had everything we needed for the last part of our holiday. Base level also has locker where you csn store luggage if yoy arrive early and also washing machines to launder clothes. Clean spacious apartment. Staff super helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

Apartment type setup (one bedroom, kitchen/living room) in a good location for the area's sites (and college). Staff was very friendly. Plenty to do and eat in the area for a few days.

Had two suites with balcony, one for myself and my wife and one for my daughter and her husband. Arrived later than scheduled due to delayed flight but had already completed online check in and entry process was emailed prior to our arrival. Rooms were very clean, well equipped and spacious and location of hotel was excellent - 2 minutes walk to lively bars/cafes, 15 minutes walk to Bologna centre. Highly recommended

If you don’t mind staying outside of the main city center, this is a great facility with spacious rooms. Expect a 15-20 minute walk to sites. The area was a bit desolate at night, but worth it for the larger living space.

Nice room and location
Great short two day stay for us. Their checkin person helped us navigate our way to their hotel entrance. Building 22 is on the opposite side of the street from the odd numbered buildings. The washing machines in the basement worked perfectly.

Noisy and not great location
The hotel was clean and the staff was super nice. There was even free laundry in the basement. The bed was not comfortable and it was on a busy street which was super loud into the night. The area around isn’t great and not a lot to offer. It is somewhat close to the train station. I wouldn’t stay again.

We found the property to be very well furnished and comfortable. The friendly Receptionist processed our check-in politely and efficiently. We found all areas were exceptionally clean and our room, bathroom, kitchen area and balcony were spotless. The bed was made up daily and towels were changed as desired. The city centre is a pleasant 20 minute walk away. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nous avons passé une seule nuit à Bologne, et si c’était à refaire, nous ferions sans doute une itinéraire différent. Le quartier autour de l’hôtel est très sale et démuni. Il fallait regarder chaque pas devant nous pour éviter de piler dans l’urine. Pour l’hôtel, le séjour était bien, mis à part que nous n’avons pas eu la chambre pour laquelle nous avions réservé. Il est aussi à noter que l’hôtel contrôle la climatisation… De tout notre voyage en Italie, c’est le premier endroit où nous n’avons pas réussi à bien dormir en raison de la chaleur. Ce facteur a grandement affecté notre appréciation de l’hôtel. Nous ne recommandons pas…

This hotel is a little far from city centre and a little far from the train station. It wasn’t clearly marked outside where the reception was, but once in the elevator, it was very easy to find. The hotel was great! Very safe and clean! The staff was super friendly. This was a great experience!

Our family stayed at Almarossa for two nights and we had a fantastic experience. It was a bit confusing how to enter, but once we figured that out we had a great time. The staff was so kind and accommodating and helped us out several times during our stay: holding luggage while we waited for our rooms, fixing the air conditioner in one of our rooms, & letting us stay in the courtyard while we waited for our driver to pick us up on check out. The staff was so kind, despite dealing with challenges on the day we arrived. The facilities were outstanding for families. We had a spacious apartment, kitchenette with everything you need & we used the laundry facilities in the basement. Perfect spot for a family travelling in Bologna. We will return for sure!

This was an adequate place to stay, with decent space in the superior apartment - both inside and on the balcony. Though it was a shame that the balcony only overlooked the communal terrace where staff took their smoking breaks. Overall, it was pretty poor value for money. Air conditioning was centrally controlled (set at 26 degrees), restricting your ability to turn it down during hot nights (requests were made to lower it but it remained unchanged). The bed was uncomfortable, particularly for anyone that sleeps on their side. Customer service was poor, with us and others berated for simple requests (such as asking for an extra pillow). It felt like the set up was designed to get more money out of you - where other accommodation makes you feel welcome with complimentary extras, these all come at a cost here.

I spent a week at the Almarossa in June while attending a conference at the university and would recommend it very highly. I stayed in one of the apartments: this was really spacious, with a bedroom, living room ( sofa bed) and a very well set up kitchen and bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel is conveniently located for the university, a five minute walk away, while the center and the station are each about a twenty minute walk. It's also on bus routes. Also handy is a small supermarket almost next door and the huge flea market five minutes away. The only minor negative is that there is quite a lot of traffic noise, but windows, shutters and air conditioning minimize this. Staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient.
