Altapura richly deserves its 5-star rating. The resort is spectacular, and all the amenities are at one's fingertips. The ski school or instructors meet you there, the rentals and ski departures are just at the door, the food, wines, and all amenities are first rate. We took our 9-year old granddaughter and by the end of the week she had made fast friends with 6 other children. Ski-in Ski-out luxury boutique hotel. Great location, within a nice 10 minute walk from the center of the town (1850). Twice a day service, timed while you're out. The staff was outstanding, without exception. They were on top of their game all the way from unloading the car, to bringing up the luggage, to the restaurant staff, to the ski room. The management is clearly very picky in their hiring and training. It almost felt like they were ideologically committed to the hotel. The food...
