"We loved the traditional nature of the property and of course its position in relation to the lake. It is really handy for everything and the views off the balcony are excellent. I enjoyed a nice swim although it is just a pool for relaxation really and not large enough for proper swimming. Hot tub with a view lovely though. Breakfast was really good with lots of variety. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we wanted to explore the town, so can’t comment on food more generally....

"We stayed in Bled for one night on a longer trip through Croatia and Slovenia, and the Grand Hotel Toplice wasn't our most luxurious stay. Our room was quite small (not a lot of room for laying out suitcases we had from our long trip) and not very renovated. The bathroom was small but fine. "Great location for exploring the city - everywhere is walkable from the hotel. Hotel has a lovely modern and friendly boutique feel. Staff all very accommodating. Great breakfast included with lots of options and large portions. Only thing visitors may want to consider is our bathroom had a transparent glass wall and door which may not be suitable for all people sharing a room! Not sure if all rooms have this feature. "

"We upgraded to a deluxe room, which was so grand. Great views from the patio (small table and chairs). Wish we'd had more time to take advantage of the amenities, but dinner at their restaurant (in the Michelin guide) and breakfast outside on their covered patio were lovely. "

"Loved this hotel! The overall facility was stunning, but the room itself was lacking. The best part was the breakfast buffet, the staff and the location! It's a little out from Lake Bled, but I prefer to be away from the touristy areas! Pros: The hotel has a lot to offer, from the pool and spa to the staff and restaurant! Cons: The bed wasn't very comfortable and the room looked like it needed some regular maintenance. I highly recommend!!!"
