"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. "Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is of course beautiful but there was a garlicky smell in the lobby downstairs that I wasn’t a fan of. We saw mushrooms growing on the ceiling on the second floor - indicative of mold and the carpets were dirty in the room, which we knew from our feet being dirty after just showering. There was some cool areas inside the hotel that we got to tour which you would never know existed looking only from outside, so that was cool. "

"The highlight of this place for us was the location - a very easy 5 minute walk to old town, and also Macy’s in the other direction. The room size is fine and as expected. There was a fridge and microwave which was a bonus we were not expecting. The air con worked well. Shower temperature and pressure were good. On the down side, the bathroom had a strong urine smell but since you couldn’t smell it in the main room, we didn’t bother reporting it as we had already made ourselves comfortable....
