"This was the second time we have stayed at The Surf Shanty. The property itself was renovated a couple years ago and is beautiful inside and out! The property is maintained on a daily basis and was very clean! Beach access is only 500’ from the Motel and dining is a short walk. The only issue we had was poor water pressure coming from the shower head. When brought to the Property Manager Andre’s attention, he graciously offered to move us to another room. We only had one night remaining, so we...

"We were there in December and then we came back in this may the breakfast has improved 100 percent we spoke with a young lady her name was Shawanda She's In charge of the kitchen area she turned that whole department around she told us this was her third day...Wow amazing young lady thanks you."

"The hotel is located in between Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach. You can easily walk to Dewey and the Main Street area on a safe sidewalk. Walking to Regoboth would not be easy- due to lack of sidewalks and distance. Biking yes. The staff was very nice here. Rates the best for the area and DOG friendly. "

"Stayed here for the Ocean's Calling festival. Check-in was quick and efficient. The staff was friendly and kind. The room was dated, but clean and had a true king size bed. Excellent pillows - firm yet soft. I would stay here again for the location and ease of getting to places along the beach. "
