"This cabin is great. From check in to check out everything was as stated and cabin was great. I would definitely stay here a again. Only a few miles from main entrance to New River Gorge, and Thurmond. Easy drive to all other parts of the National Park. We even got in a few State Parks and 1 Battlefield. And dog friendly was the icing on the cake."

"The condo was lovely with amazing amenities. Very quiet but it was too far from trails, eateries, and other things to do. Had to drive everywhere and there was no view but there was a nice deck.Again very nice but just didn’t include some of the logistics I had hoped for. This was not our first time at Canaan but our first time at this property. Beware, there are steps from parking lot to unit but condo is one floor."

"We really enjoyed the property. It was clean. Internet worked well. Washer and dryer was nice. Too cold to enjoy the hot tub for me. My suggestions are a new shower head, thank goodness I didn’t have to wash my hair. The flow is too spread out and not enough to efficiently rinse as you shower. Second is a cheaper Kcup machine would be nice. Traveling with ground coffee is not really ideal for a quick trip away. Third thing I suggest is two beach towels (minimum) for the use of the hot tub. "The house is in a great location to visit all the attractions in the area of the Canaan Valley of West Virginia. If you like hiking there are plenty of trails nearby. The house is pleasant, comfortable and well equipped. The owners Laurie and Chip are next door if you need any assistance. The mountain views are spectacular!"

"This stay was for our 10th anniversary. The cabin was fantastic. We loved the hot tub and the privacy. We had an issue where VRBO didn’t send us the the cabin number and correct code. We ended up arriving at 2am due an emergency delay in our trip. We contacted VRBO and they contacted our host. We felt bad for waking him at 2am, but he was able to give us the information we needed. "The tiny house is exactly as described. Its small, clean, cozy and comfortable. The location right on the river is fantastic. Being able to have a fire right by the water each night was such a plus. Doors don’t close, not enough pots and pans, dirty curtains, loose legs on the kitchen table, fire place didn’t work, broken light bulbs, the outside wasn’t bad except that the road desperately needs to be replaced. The potholes are huge!! Staff was nice but the sign said to check in on the other side and the door was padlocked shut. It wasn’t easy to know what that meant.
