This walking tour is an historic journey into Denver’s past, while enjoying the wonderment of Holiday Lights, along the tour route. Denver is known as the “Christmas City”, and after taking this tour, you will understand why. From the remarkable lights of the Union Station Building to the amazing Holiday Drone Show and the Mile High Tree, you will enjoy every stop.
The tour starts, in front of the Denver Chophouse, on the east side of the building.
You will find your guide in front of the “McGregor Square” sign.
Highlights include a stop at the German Christmas Market (Christkindlmarket) the Dairy Block, the Oxford Hotel, Larimer Square, and the 16th Street Mall. The tour ends at the amazing Christmas market, so that you can enjoy your time, shopping, grabbing a hot chocolate, apple cider, a giant pretzel, or some delicious strudel. There is also a fantastic beer tent, with music and entertainment. At this location, you will see the Mile High Tree, which is covered in over, 60,000 holiday lights. You can even make your way inside this magnificent tree; you will also see the beautiful restored Hershel carousel, with its hand carved horses, harkening back to the late 1800s, western Victorian era. This location is where the holiday drone show occurs, every night at 7:00 PM. Note: if you choose not to go into the Christmas market, your guide will offer to take you back to Union Station, which is two blocks from the starting location.
